Key Responsibilities
Lead end-to-end
purchasing
and
sourcing
activities for production parts and tooling.
Prepare and issue RFQs, evaluate supplier cost breakdowns, and identify
cost-reduction
opportunities.
Conduct
supplier negotiations
for pricing, contracts, and long-term agreements.
Recommend sourcing decisions in alignment with
commodity strategies
and
total cost of ownership (TCO)
principles.
Collaborate cross-functionally with Engineering, Quality, and Manufacturing teams to support
APQP
and supplier development.
Manage supplier performance, delivery, and
supply chain improvement
initiatives.
Drive continuous improvement and
value analysis/value engineering (VAVE)
opportunities.
Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Business, Engineering, Supply Chain, or a related field.
Minimum
5 years of purchasing or procurement experience
in the
automotive industry.
Strong skills in
supplier relationship management
,
contract negotiation
, and
cost analysis.
Ability to interpret
technical drawings
and specifications for automotive components.
Knowledge of
manufacturing processes
such as machining, die casting, forging, and injection molding is an asset.
Proficient in
Microsoft Office
and ERP systems.
Self-motivated, analytical, and able to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
