Newcomers to Canada are driving the vast majority of population growth today and by 2032 this segment will contribute 100% of Canada\'s growth. The Multicultural Marketing team is at the heart of driving success within this key segment. Through a customer-first lens, the Multicultural team creates programs and initiatives that thoughtfully cater to the various ethnic groups that make up the mosaic of Canada.

In this Senior Product Marketing Manager role, you will be at the forefront of leading our enhanced Newcomer strategy. You will initiate and own novel programs that capture the hearts and minds of Newcomers. Through a deep understanding of the Newcomer journey, you will find new ways that TELUS can support Newcomers. You will have a specific focus on targeting Newcomers before they have even left their home country!

What you\'ll do

  • Analyze and evaluate the Newcomer customer journey
  • Identify and establish new partnerships to drive growth
  • Develop and secure leadership buy-in on new, innovative programs
  • Influence a wide variety of cross-functional stakeholders to bring new programs to life
  • Own growth targets and report on progress regularly to the leadership team
  • Consistently look inside and outside the industry for ideas, innovation, and inspiration that empowers you and the entire team to think bigger and bolder

  • Problem solver - Strong problem identification skills and ability to use analytics to distill insights that allow you to make thoughtful, strategic recommendations
  • Thoughtful collaborator - ability to work with diverse groups and empower cross-functional partners to feel ownership over the Newcomer segment
  • Clear communicator - Strong communication and presentation skills with the ability to develop clear, concise and compelling narratives from peers up to executives
  • Goal-oriented - Acknowledges opportunities and sets ambitious goals, maintaining a strong bias for action both for the portfolio and for professional growth
  • Multicultural Expertise - Deep understanding of the Canadian multicultural landscape and proven methods to connect with this audience
Great-to-haves
  • Experience in the Multicultural or Newcomer sector, specifically within the South Asian, Chinese & Filipino communities
  • Wireless telecommunications and/or technology-based industry experience
  • Working collaboratively on cross-functional team projects with a wide range of integrated marketing activities
