CBC Calgary is looking for a Senior Producer to lead our visual journalism and storytelling efforts. Reporting to the Executive Producer, News, the successful candidate will plan, conceive, organize, and/or develop and execute the production of compelling journalism and visual programming to CBC's streaming, social and linear television platforms.
A journalistic leader in the newsroom, the Senior Producer will work with news leadership to determine the best visual treatments of our priority news stories, while leading the newsroom in the ongoing transition to bring our visual storytelling to new platforms. This will include guiding video producers and video journalists to cover breaking news and enterprise stories, and coordinate their efforts across platforms. You will follow up on the execution and provide mentorship and coaching, and will play a key role in the rollout of editorial projects, investigations and events such as elections and provincial budgets

You will track our results, use them to refine our approach to video and share what you learn with your colleagues. In this role, you will ensure that all CBC journalistic standards are met and that our stories are fair, balanced, accurate, thoughtful, immediate and resonate with the communities we serve.
