This team supports content creation groups with technical issues and implementation of technologies across our several locations North of 60. From the virtualization of services to the implementation of Audio and video-over-IP and beyond, to the introduction of centralized and automated workflows, your input will impact and grow CBC North.Every day your hands-on knowledge, your growing expertise, your problem-solving skills and your ability to translate technical issues will be called into play as you work closely with clients facing issues with content creation, backend systems, studios and control rooms.   • Must possess at least a two-year Post-Secondary technologist diploma from a recognized college in an electronic discipline or its equivalent as determined by the Corporation.
Practical and relevant experience.
  • A solid understanding of IT systems in media environment, including networking, active directory, user creation and rights.
  • A solid understanding of digital video and digital audio technology and file transcode systems.
  • Understanding of AVID (or similar) systems: servers and clients (Media Central, Media Composer, NewsCutter, Interplay/Access) - an asset.
  • Understanding of DALET (or similar) system: servers and clients - an asset. Audio and Video control room technology and workflows.
  • Understanding of field audio and video over IP.
  • Must possess a valid drivers license as well as a driving record that meets the minimum requirements of CBC/Radio-Canada's insurance company. Understanding of the Google suite of tools - an asset.
