What you can expect to do here:

Contribute to

conceptual, feasibility, and detailed engineering design projects that enhance efficiency;

Support the development of

laboratory testing protocols to refine industry practices;

Drive real-world

research and development initiatives;

Conduct

in-depth field work, data analysis, and calculations that inform decision-making;

Prepare and refine

equipment specifications to meet technical and project needs;

Provide mentorship

and guidance to junior engineers, fostering professional growth;

Develop and review

proposals, technical memoranda, and reports with clarity and precision;

Assist in

audits, troubleshooting, and optimizing mining infrastructure;

Engage in

commissioning and construction supervision to support seamless project execution;

Visit project sites

to collaborate with teams and bring innovation to life.

What you'll bring to WSP:

Industry Leadership

- Bachelor or Master's degree in Chemical or Metallurgical Engineering;

15+ years

of relevant consulting or operating experience in a mining or mill setting;

Demonstrated background

in elements of design or operation of backfill plants (hydraulic fill, paste fill, cemented rockfill) plant, surface tailings disposal systems, underground or surface mine infrastructure, material handling and comminution processes; Establish laboratory testing protocols for paste backfill operations including, thickening, filtration, rheology, backfill unconfined compressive strength;

Development

of backfill underground distribution systems and slurry transport models; Valid driver's license, Professional Engineer accreditation, and proficiency in Microsoft tools;

Compensation

Salary Range (in British Colombia): $124,800 - $171,600



The final salary awarded for this role may vary from the above range based on several factors including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, and business or organizational needs. The salary range provided in this job posting may be subject to change for business purposes.
