As a senior member of the Process Engineering team, within a highly integrated engineering, fabrication, and construction environment, you will be taking a discipline leadership role as a member of multi-discipline teams, executing projects from front end design through to commissioning and start-up support

A typical day:

Lead process design of projects from the conceptual phase through design completion and liaise with management on project activity and status
/lili
Develop project process deliverables including Process Design Criteria, Process simulations, Heat & Material Balance, PFDs, P&IDs, process narrative, control philosophy and process calculations at different engineering stages including conceptual, FEED, detailed and execute
/lili
Perform feasibility studies, conceptual design, unit optimization, troubleshooting, de-bottlenecking studies and other process studies during project lifecycle
/lili
Assist with proposal development, and man hour estimates
/lili
Liaise with other engineering disciplines, fab shop, and construction. Manage collaborative relationships with external stakeholders on a project basis
/lili
Participate in major reviews such as design reviews, 3D-model, HAZOP and LOPA meetings and manage resolution of action items
/lili
Provide technical and on-site support during construction, commissioning, and start-up or for operational improvement

Requirements:

Professional Engineer with Bachelor's or equivalent degree in Chemical Engineering
/lili
A minimum of 10 years of relevant process engineering with strong oil and gas background (such as gas plants, wellsite's, oil batteries, liquid gathering and handling facilities). EPCM background is an asset
/lili
Strong hands-on capabilities in supporting field start-up, plant operation and troubleshooting of systems produced
/lili
Competent in process equipment sizing and process calculations
/lili
Competent in Process engineering tools and software such as HYSYS and Flarenet
/lili
Proficiency with engineering practices, codes, standards, and regulatory requirements pertaining to oil and gas industry
/lili
Experience in preparing Process manhour estimates and development of proposals
/lili
Ability to support on-site construction, commissioning, start-up and troubleshooting activities
