As a member of the Planning and Development Department, reporting to the Manager of Policy Planning, the Senior Principal Planner researches, analyzes, prepares, and presents reports to Council or Committees of Council on a wide variety of planning matters with a particular emphasis on site plan and subdivision review and analysis, special studies and project management such as implementing and monitoring the City's proposed urban design guidelines and development manual. This role is key to providing effective leadership and direction in the coordination and management of Pre-consultation and Planning Act Applications, including ongoing review, analysis and coordination of the various components of development and determination of complete applications.
