The main objective of this role in the construction phase is to support the Operations Readiness and Assurance team in the transition of the West White Rose project into an operating facility. This involves stewarding to the ORA Integrated Plan which includes review and handover of master data, execution of project scopes transferred to ORA, updates to management system documentation, supporting the resolution of design issues, providing engineering support to the other disciplines and teams within the ORA group, and supporting completion, commissioning and HUC activities. In addition to core ORA duties, this position will play a key role in planning and executing the first few flowline tie in projects.The main objective of this role in the permanent operations phase is coordinating the implementation of well Tie in projects, providing engineering support to operations, while stewarding to the management of change processA knowledge of major projects coupled with knowledge in supporting offshore operations, in the areas of engineering, is key in this role.These positions will start in St. John\'s, NL then rotate to Ingleside, TX and lastly transfer to offshore on rotation, 12-hours per day, 3 weeks on/ 3 weeks off.What you\xe2\x80\x99ll do:Platform Engineer, initially with the ORA team on the WWR Project, transitioning to an offshore role on the WWR platform:ORA Project phase:Rotate to construction site (Ingleside, TX)Support Commissioning, HUC and handover to operationsSupport handover of engineering and supplier documentation, including ensuring redlines are incorporated into our document management systemSupport Flow line Tie in Readiness and various Engineering studiesSupport handover of various engineering software toolsReview and improve quality of master data as requiredSupport maintenance teams with maintenance program developmentSupport the development of integrity management system.Create/Edit management system documentation as requiredSteward to project budgetsInterface with SS, DCI, Maintenance, Integrity, HSE, Finance, etc. as requiredOperations phase:Coordinate the implementation of changes to the facility, stewarding to the Management of Change processCoordinate EPC construction resources and activities with Cenovus management systems and offshore leadership teamSupport the Well Handover processBe the Focal point for work pack closeoutUpdate hard copy documentation onboard as required (C&Es, P&IDs, etc)Liaise Onshore Engineering teams with the offshore organization and operationSupport Onshore Engineering SCE owners and discipline engineers with monitoring, troubleshooting, investigating operational issuesRepresent Engineering at regular operations meetingsCoordinate/Support third party offshore visits as requiredEnsure maintenance and integrity programs are updated as required for modificationsWho you are:Must be legally entitled to work in CanadaMust have a valid passport and be eligible to work across bordersBachelor\xe2\x80\x99s Degree in EngineeringMember in Good standing or eligible for registration with Professional Engineers and Geoscientist Newfoundland & Labrador (PEGNL)8-12 years of experience in Engineering operations support in the oil and gas industryWorking knowledge of Certifying Authories (Lloyds Register, DNV) and CNLOPB rules and regulationsExperience providing technical guidance to engineering and construction contractorsThis is a safety sensitive position and will be subject to offshore pre-placement Fitness for Work assessments, which includes drug and alcohol screening, a CAPP medical and BST/HUEBA testingMust be able to travel via helicopter and boat.
