Title: Senior Planner, Media Planning

OVERVIEW:

Mindshare is looking for a Sr. Planner, Media Planning with a passion for marketing and a curiosity for media in advertising. This role is in the Client Leadership team and is an integral part in capturing a client\'s vision to reach the intended audience. The Media Planners at Mindshare are part psychologists, part scientists, part artists, part entrepreneurs, and part politicians. We strategize how brands should communicate with people across the myriad of media channels, and how to do that differently from every other brand.

The Sr. Planner is responsible for our strategic brand work: comms plans, media strategies, media plans. You will direct the day-to-day account activities for the brand and play a key role in the translation of marketing and advertising objectives into overall media strategies. You, in partnership with the client marketing teams will lead its deployment to the respective brand teams and optimize it regularly based on business dynamics. You will be responsible for developing the skills and knowledge of junior staff.

YOUR IMPACT:

\xc2\xb7 Prepare and present communication plans, including objectives, strategy, and rationale

\xc2\xb7 Participate in Client / Agency meetings as the day-to-day product group representative from the media department

\xc2\xb7 Demonstrate full understanding of Client\'s businesses as basis for all future work

\xc2\xb7 Direct marketing and media analyses to support recommendations

\xc2\xb7 Seek, investigate, and actively pursue innovative communications opportunities

\xc2\xb7 Provide updates to media and agency partners on the status of all account projects

\xc2\xb7 Assume ultimate media financial accountability with Client Accounting and agency partners

\xc2\xb7 Ensure integration and coordination of communication plans and projects

\xc2\xb7 Supervise, guide and counsel Sr. Associate(s) and/or Associate(s) on all day-to-day activities

\xc2\xb7 Train planning staff in media and marketing disciplines as well as the specifics of the Client\'s business and industry

\xc2\xb7 Vet accuracy, timeliness, and quality of all media group outputs

\xc2\xb7 Act as media planning contact for outside agency partners

\xc2\xb7 Act with integrity when managing relationships across agency and media partners in order to ensure brand understanding, more effectively sell ideas, and contribute to positive agency evaluations

YOUR QUALIFICATIONS:

\xc2\xb7 College Diploma or Bachelor\'s degree, preferably with a concentration in advertising, marketing, business administration, and communications, or equivalent experience

\xc2\xb7 3+ years of relevant media experience, media planning preferred

\xc2\xb7 Proven experience with client presentation and reporting

\xc2\xb7 Knowledge of media buying

\xc2\xb7 Advance knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint)

\xc2\xb7 Proficiency with 3rd party syndicated research resources (ComScore, Nielsen, Vividata, Commspoint)

\xc2\xb7 Proficiency with media tools (eg. Prisma)
