We are seeking an experienced and results-driven
Senior Operations Manager
with a strong background in the
franchising sector of the food and beverage industry
. This role is critical in building standardized operations across our franchise network, ensuring compliance, and supporting franchisees in driving both sales growth and profitability. The ideal candidate must bring hands-on franchising experience, with proven success in balancing franchisee support and accountability while protecting and growing the brand.
Key Responsibilities
Franchising Operations & Standardization
Develop, implement, and enforce standardized operating procedures (SOPs) across all
franchise locations
to ensure consistency and scalability.
Partner directly with franchisees to strengthen operational execution and ensure adherence to franchisor requirements.
Lead operational training programs for franchisees, managers, and staff to drive alignment with brand standards.
Sales Growth & Franchisee Performance
Work closely with franchisees to identify and implement initiatives that drive
top-line sales growth
and improve store-level profitability.
Monitor franchisee performance against KPIs (sales, labor cost, food cost, customer satisfaction) and provide actionable improvement plans.
Support franchisees with local sales-building strategies, promotions, and community engagement.
Cost Management & Supply Chain
Oversee supply chain processes, ensuring franchisees have access to reliable, cost-effective suppliers.
Implement systems to optimize labour scheduling, inventory control, and food/supply costs across the network.
Negotiate with vendors and suppliers to maximize value for franchisees while protecting brand quality standards.
Compliance, Auditing & Brand Protection
Conduct regular operational audits at franchise locations to ensure compliance with franchisor policies, brand standards, and food safety regulations.
Take corrective actions where needed to protect brand integrity and customer experience.
Ensure franchise agreements are upheld through proactive oversight and consistent enforcement.
Brand Building & Culture
Act as a steward of the brand by ensuring every franchise location delivers consistent quality and service.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams (marketing, finance, training) to support system-wide brand growth.
Assist with new store openings, ensuring franchisees launch successfully and are fully operational from day one.
Leadership & Franchise Relations
Lead and develop field operations teams to provide hands-on support to franchisees.
Serve as the key liaison between corporate leadership and franchisees, balancing support with accountability.
Foster strong, trust-based relationships with franchise partners, encouraging open communication and collaboration.
Qualifications & Skills
Bachelor's degree in Business, Operations, Supply Chain, or related field (MBA preferred).
7+ years of operations management experience, with at least 3 years in a leadership role in the food and beverage franchising industry (franchising experience is required).
Deep understanding of the franchisor-franchisee relationship, including compliance, support, and brand protection.
Proven track record of improving sales performance while reducing operational costs.
Experience conducting audits and ensuring compliance with brand and legal standards.
Strong leadership, relationship-building, and communication skills.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, multi-unit, franchising environment.
