We are looking for a Senior Operations and Maintenance to join our team!What You Will DoReporting to the Systems Integration Lead, as the Senior Operation and Maintenance (O&M) Specialist, you will provide systems engineering expertise to ensure the integration of program system elements and processes, in order to deliver project initiatives safely, on time, and on budget throughout the program/project life cycle.As the Senior O&M Specialist, you will work collaboratively with the program and project teams including Project Managers, Senior Project Engineers, Operations Staff and Consultants to advance projects through the program/project stage gate process.You will also perform Needs Analysis of the stakeholders for the Program and associated projects; lead and contribute to the O&M requirements elicitations, engage stakeholders in development and finalization of O&M requirements; lead and contribute to the development of \xe2\x80\x9cConcept of Operation\xe2\x80\x9d (ConOps) and \xe2\x80\x9cConcept of Maintenance\xe2\x80\x9d in coordination with end users; the requirements specifications of the Projects, from O&M perspective; and review technical packages (studies, analyses and designs) to evaluate compliance with O&M requirements and guidelines, and ensuring that submittals include analyses of impacts on Operation and Maintenance of TTC Lines, Rail Systems, Maintenance Systems, Facilities (Specifically Yards) and Vehicles. Evaluate correctness and completeness of the contents from the O&M perspective.Moreover, you will evaluate, review and validate the \xe2\x80\x9cSystem Operational Concept\xe2\x80\x9d (OpsCon) and \xe2\x80\x9cMaintenance Concept Plan\xe2\x80\x9d in coordination with end users; perform Operation Analyses of the TTC Lines and Yards; develop Operation Readiness Plans, Processes and Procedures; witness and evaluate Operational Demonstrations, identified defects, proposed changes to O&M in coordination with end users; and maintain the O&M information (e.g. documents, drawings, defects, NCRs, signatures and approvals, emails, analyses files, simulation models, requirements specifications) under configuration management.As a TTC employee, you will be responsible for promoting a respectful work and service environment that supports diversity, inclusion, and is free from harassment and discrimination.   • Completion of a university degree in a related discipline (e.g. systems, electrical, mechanical or industrial engineering), plus system interface management experience for large multi-discipline projects; or a combination of education, training and experience deemed to be equivalent.
  • Experience in a transit operating environment is an asset.
  • Licensed as a Professional Engineer in the Province of Ontario is an asset.
  • A valid Province of Ontario Class G driver\'s licence would be an asset. May be required use of own vehicle required for visits to construction sites that are not easily accessible by public transits.
  • Proven experience in planning, evaluating, performing and reporting O&M activities from project definition to project delivery and beyond (performance demonstration experience).
  • Experience and knowledge of systems engineering processes, requirements based approach and diverse development models.
  • Hands-on experience in identifying sources of requirements, O&M capabilities, constraints and interfaces (including HMI).
  • In-depth knowledge of Rail Systems and Maintenance Systems.
  • Familiarity with System of Systems- architecture, Integration Management, Integrated (Interdisciplinary) design, Interface Management, stakeholder engagement and multidisciplinary integration (Facilities, Infrastructure and Systems).
  • Experience with multi-project programs and various complexity levels of projects, is an asset.
  • Ability to interpret project documentation, plans, processes and project drawings using demonstrated knowledge of applicable construction contracts, procurement, codes, standards, regulations and statutes.
  • Ability to interpret complex reports, recognize problems and evaluate solutions.
  • Sound judgement, and decision making skills; well developed technical, analytical and problem solving skills; effective interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to coordinate complex, multi-faceted issues/tasks in a challenging environment that is schedule-driven.
  • Ability to motivate and coordinate the efforts of others to accomplish objectives.
  • Proficient in the use of computer software applications relevant to the work (e.g. Microsoft Office).
  • Must have or rapidly acquire a comprehensive knowledge of the Ontario Human Rights Code and Related Orders including disability accommodation and accessibility requirements pertaining to passengers and employees.
