The Role:
We are seeking a
Senior Nursing Administrative Assistant
to support our Care Department and maintain a professional, organized front-desk environment for residents, families, and visitors. Reporting to the Director of Care, this role also coordinates part-time Nursing Administrative Assistants and ensures smooth day-to-day administrative operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Staff Scheduling:
Prepare accurate schedules, authorize swipes, and track job postings, adhering to collective agreements and established guidelines.
Shift Management:
Coordinate and lead replacements for staff absences in a courteous and professional manner.
Reception & Customer Service:
Greet and assist residents, families, and visitors. Respond to inquiries and concerns promptly, promoting a culture of resident-focused care.
Administrative Support:
Assist the Director of Care and ADOC with clerical tasks. Serve as back-up to the Office Manager when needed.
Teamwork & Communication:
Foster positive relationships within the department and across the home. Attend meetings and in-services to support ongoing communication and development.
Workplace Safety:
Maintain a safe, clean working environment in accordance with policies and regulations.
Qualifications:
College diploma in Business or equivalent education/experience.
Strong organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills.
Excellent customer service skills, patience, and professional demeanor.
Competent with basic computer functions; typing speed of 50 wpm.
Knowledge of PointClickCare is an asset.
Dependable with good attendance; flexible to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays.
