This is an exciting opportunity for a self-motivated professional (P.Eng, or other designation) and recognized subject matter expert to join our growing team.This position can reside anywhere in Canada. The ideal candidate will have experience in projects including transportation air/noise impact assessments and noise barrier analysis (roadway traffic, bus rapid transit (BRT) and light rail transit (LRT)), traffic noise assessments, industrial and commercial air quality/noise compliance permitting assessments.This role will sit within the Global Business Area Resilience. We are here to protect our natural environment and water resources, while powering our world for future generations.Role accountabilities:As a Senior Noise & Vibration Engineer you will demonstrate a strong and well-established record of accomplishment in leading and delivering projects, developing clients, and winning projects. In addition to technical delivery, the key drivers of this job will be to accelerate growth in target market sector by applying market trends, client needs, industry trends, best practices, growth accelerators, sustainable operations, etc. to drive revenue bookings in line with national and divisional priorities.Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Modelling of noise levels using CadnaA 4.4, Stamson 5.04, STAMINA 2.0, TNM 2.5, RAP-ONE, and EASE
  • Modelling of vibration levels based on US FTA Manual
  • Performing sound level measurements with Larson Davis Model 831, LXT and vibration measurements with Coco-80
  • Site visits to highway, industrial and commercial properties to collect data, complete measurements and assist in assessing regulatory compliances;
  • Liaise and communicate with clients and troubleshoot issues independently at the client site.
  • Lead in preparation of technical reports, stakeholder communications, and proposals.
  • Contribute to the development of national, divisional, and market sector marketing and communication plans.
  • Lead the adaptation and execution of these into specific sector marketing and communication plans that position Arcadis in the market;
  • Identify new client, product, service, and value proposition opportunities within the Canadian market sector;
  • Lead and support pursuits by contributing tailored sector insights and value propositions to address specific client needs;
  • Develop and expand a sustainable network of relationships across the sector, leveraging these to enable Arcadis to have maximum impact;
  • Manage the identification and selection of key clients to ensure sustained sector growth;
  • Recruit, develop and performance manage employees, coaching and mentoring them to achieve high performance, growth, and personal development; and,
  • Promote a vibrant health and safety culture and practice
Key Attributes/Requirements:
  • Strong interpersonal, communication and written skills are essential
  • Working knowledge of environmental laws and regulations
  • Understanding of noise and vibration assessment and management
  • Understanding of noise and vibration monitoring
  • Experienced in noise modelling/analysis software including CadnaA 4.4, Stamson 5.04, STAMINA 2.0, TNM, RAP-ONE and EASE Experienced in vibration measurements including Coco-80
  • Experienced with sound level measurements using Larson Davis Model 831, LXT
  • Knowledge of vibration assessment based on US FTA Manual
  • Technical knowledge and/or experience in industrial processes
  • Strong computer aptitude and skills (Microsoft Office, AutoCAD, MicroStation)
  • Valid driver\xe2\x80\x99s license
Qualifications & Experience:Required Qualifications:
  • Engineering Degree (Civil, Chemical, Environmental or Mechanical preferred)
  • 10 years\xe2\x80\x99 experience in conducting noise and vibration assessments
  • P.Eng. (Professional Engineer)
  • A valid Ontario \xe2\x80\x9cG\xe2\x80\x9d class driver license
