Under direction from the Sr. Manager, Network & Telecom Services, the Senior Network Architect will be responsible for the design, implementation and support of Wonderbrands mission-critical network Infrastructure deployed at our North American Datacenters and Branch locations.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Working with key Support and Technology vendors, define Enterprise Hardware & Software standards for LAN & WAN infrastructure technologies across North America.
  • Designing, planning and implementation of defined Enterprise standards for LAN & WAN infrastructure technologies to satisfy business requirements, capacity, and costs.
  • Develop and update test plans used to evaluate new services, new equipment and software/firmware releases.
  • Develop and document processes and procedures needed to deploy, provision, test, and repair LAN/WAN infrastructure systems.
  • Provide Third-Level technical support to Server, Manufacturing, and Business Application teams.
  • Provide guidance and mentoring to Sr. Network Analysts and Network Analysts.
  • Review, evaluate and test vendors, hardware, suppliers, services, systems, processes, software/firmware releases.
  • Interact and liaise with various departments to develop processes and systems and with vendors/suppliers for negotiations.
  • Develop technology roadmaps.
  • Document defined LAN/WAN infrastructure standards.
  • Travel to Datacenters and Branch Locations across North America for problem/issue resolution and design/implementation requirements.
  • Provide after hours on-call support on a rotational basis

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
  • 10+ years of experience in designing/deploying/documenting network solutions for large clients.
  • 10+ years of experience in technical consulting and project leadership.
  • 5+ years of experience leading teams of other technical subject matter experts and architects.
  • Experience working both independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
  • Can conform to shifting priorities, demands and timelines and able to react to project adjustments and alterations promptly and efficiently.
  • Ability to elicit cooperation from a wide variety of sources, including management, clients, other departments and vendors.
  • Strong oral and written communications skills.
  • Must be able to learn, understand and apply new technologies.
  • Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment.

Proficient with the following:
  • Network L2 switching with VLANs, STP, vPC, LACP, VXLAN.
  • Network L3 routing with BGP, OSPF, EVPN, MPLS.
  • Next-generation Security firewalls Palo Alto, Fortinet, Check Point
  • Network Security IDS/IPS, ACLs, NATs, SSL/TLS and IPSEC VPNs.
  • Site-to-Site, multi-site, site-to-cloud, and client-based VPN.
  • Datacenter Networking (eg. CISCO ACI, and other SDN\'s)
  • Google Cloud, Microsoft Azure, IBM, AWS, Cloud services.
  • Cisco Networks NXOS, ACI and IOS based platforms in HA.
  • SD-WAN networking (Velocloud, Versa, Viptela, etc).
  • Load balancers (F5, NSX-T, A10, NetScalar, etc.).
  • Deep network troubleshooting analysis with a network trace/dump, Wireshark, etc.
  • Proficient in Fortinet, Cisco, Aruba technologies.

QUALIFICATIONS
  • These qualifications are preferred, but not mandatory:
  • Project Management Professional (PMP)
  • Cisco Certified Inter-network Expert or other related equipment vendor training
  • Security Certifications (Fortinet, Cisco, Palo Alto)
  • University graduate in Computer Science, Information Technology, Telecommunications, Electronics & Electricals or other related fields
  • Cloud certification (GCP, AWS, Azure, or any other)
  • Network and / or storage certification.
  • Cisco CCNP certification (CCIE Preferred RS, DC, or enterprise).
