Position Overview

Shifts:

We are currently looking to hire a Senior Setup Technician

Salary Range:
$30.00 -$34.00
negotiable, depending on experience.

As a Mold Setup Technician your responsibilities will include retrieving prepared molds and installing those parts into injection molding presses insuring that mold in aligned properly and will produce the desired result,
The selected candidates should have previous experience in a manufacturing production environment

Required Skills :

Being able to communicate (verbal and written) well with others in a fast pasted working environment. Able to work safely with sharp and heavy objects. Able to carry / lift 35 pounds. Crane, scissor lifts, and forklift certifications (these licenses are not mandatory, but it is an asset).

Responsibilities:

Retrieve prepared molds and installs into injection molding presses. Identifying Part Defects, such as short shots, flash, warp, surface defects and color changes. Regrinding, trimming flash and de-gating plastic parts from runners. Remove molds from the press and stage for disassembly Will be required to safely operate hand held and stationary power tools. Check for resin availability Maintain a clean and organized work area to facilitate manufacturing functions. Must follow Hot Tip procedures for various materials. Work closely with supervisor and other team members to manage and prioritize staffing assignments to ensure customer demands. Purge barrel of leftover materials at the conclusion of an order. Secure molds to plate, assemble heater cartridges and thermocouple leads to the mold. Ability to Operate Engel Machine.

Personal Protective Equipment :

Candidates must provide own safety shoes and be willing to work in a humid environment.
