We are currently accepting resumes for a Senior MemberCare Administration Specialist to join the Benefits and Retirement Team. This is a full-time, permanent position in our Grimsby Member Centre.
Job Summary:
The CLAC Retirement Team is looking for an individual to provide support with the day-to-day management and operations of CLAC's two retirement plans. The successful candidate will work closely with the plans' management team in establishing and administering the retirement plans in accordance with plans terms, as well as assisting with the completion of current and ongoing projects. This position will be located in the Grimsby Member Centre.
Key Responsibilities:
Interpret and apply the provisions of the plans and the various applicable provincial laws.
Assist with the governance of the plans including revisions to policies and procedures.
Generate statistics and reports for the plans.
Oversight for various administrative communications to plan members.
Manage workload and priorities and help coordinate various projects.
Assist with cashflow management, bookkeeping and management of plans invoices/payments, etc.
Liaison with external stakeholders and service providers.
Assist with annual audits and preparing annual government returns/rebates.
May provide support and assistance with leading retirement plan presentations and education sessions
Some overnight travel and evening commitments may be required of the position.
Other miscellaneous tasks as assigned.
Qualifications:
Knowledgeable in the areas of bookkeeping, finance and retirement plans.
Minimum of two years' experience in the retirement industry with a strong understanding of retirement plans.
Completion of a college/university degree or specific pension administration program (e.g. CEBS or CHRP) considered an asset.
Skills and Experience:
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Motivated self-starter with a friendly and professional demeanor.
Knowledgeable in all Microsoft platforms and proficient with computers.
Able to work independently and multi-task in a busy environment.
Respect for confidentiality of member information.
Reporting and Accountability:
This position reports directly to the Retirement Plans Team Manager.
