This pivotal role involves utilizing advanced practical and theoretical knowledge to perform and oversee complex laboratory procedures, ensuring the highest standards of accuracy and reliability in test results.
The Senior MLT will play a crucial role in guiding and mentoring technical staff, optimizing laboratory operations, and maintaining stringent quality control standards.

• Active registration with the College of Medical Laboratory Technologists of Ontario (CMLTO)
• Bachelor's degree in Science, Certificate in Quality Management, or an equivalent qualification preferred.
• Experience in Chemistry, Transfusion Services, Haematology, and Phlebotomy is preferred.
• Proven record of satisfactory work performance and consistent attendance.

• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks for oneself and others effectively.
• Effective communication skills (verbal and written) and strong interpersonal abilities.
• Proficiency in basic computer and keyboarding skills; advanced computer skills are an asset.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a diverse team.
• Meticulous attention to detail and a strong focus on accuracy.
• Comprehensive understanding of Quality Management, Quality Improvement, Quality Assurance, and Ontario Laboratory Accreditation standards.
• Commitment to core values of inclusion, compassion, innovation, teamwork, and joy.
• Understanding of and commitment to comprehensive safety programs and practices, including staff, patient, and environmental safety, with regular participation in in-service sessions.

• Hourly rate of pay $24 - $53.28, vacation accrual starting at three (3) weeks per year.

HOURS OF WORKPermanent Full Time. Must be available to work shifts including days, evenings, nights and weekends.
