JYZ Design is a Calgary-based creative agency specializing in branding, hospitality, lifestyle, and wellness. We work with leading hospitality groups, wellness brands, and lifestyle businesses to create elevated campaigns that connect with discerning audiences. As our agency expands into paid media, we're seeking an experienced Paid Media & Data Strategy Manager to deliver smart, data-driven campaigns and insightful reporting for a high-profile hospitality client.
Role Overview
The Paid Media & Data Strategy Manager will be responsible for managing full-funnel media campaigns, using client data to drive segmentation and personalization, and providing clear insights through dashboards and presentation-ready reporting. This role requires both strategic thinking and hands-on execution across traditional and digital media channels.
Key Responsibilities
Campaign Execution & Optimization
? Plan, launch, and manage campaigns across OOH, print, radio, digital, search, social, and PMAX.
? Continuously monitor and optimize performance to ensure KPIs and ROI targets are met.
? Collaborate with creative teams to ensure alignment of media placements and messaging.
Data-Driven Strategy
? Use robust first-party data sets (guest emails, purchase behavior, visitor profiles) to guide targeting, personalization, and segmentation strategies.
? Provide recommendations for new integrations, platforms, and tools to enhance performance tracking.
? Support email marketing initiatives with data insights and segmentation.
Compliance & Best Practices
? Ensure all media campaigns and data handling practices meet relevant privacy regulations (CAN-SPAM, GDPR, CASL).
? Stay current on evolving industry standards, media buying trends, and compliance requirements.
Performance Reporting
? Develop and present clear marketing reports and slide decks that communicate performance, insights, and next steps.
? Build and maintain dashboards to provide both clients and internal teams with real-time visibility into campaign results.
Qualifications
? 5+ years of experience in media strategy, planning, and buying across traditional and digital channels.
? Proven ability to manage and optimize significant paid media budgets.
? Advanced knowledge of Google Ads (including PMAX), Meta Ads, and other programmatic platforms.
? Strong understanding of OOH, print, and radio buying processes.
? Skilled in building and presenting marketing reports and slide decks.
? Familiarity with data privacy laws and compliance (CAN-SPAM, GDPR, CASL).
? Bonus: Previous experience working in an agency environment.
? Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
