System & Product Design

  • Develop system architecture for chillers and electrified heating units, with a focus on performance, efficiency, cost, and reliability.
  • Apply HVAC and refrigeration expertise to design and optimize system layouts, components, and piping.
  • Perform thermodynamic, fluid flow, and heat transfer analyses to validate and refine system designs.
  • Select and size key components-including compressors, evaporators, condensers, fans, pumps, expansion valves, sensors, and heat exchangers-to meet project requirements and applicable codes.
  • Ensure effective integration of mechanical systems with electrical and control systems.
Prototyping, Testing & Validation
  • Lead prototype development, assembly, and validation activities.
  • Conduct and analyze performance testing related to efficiency, capacity, sound, and heating and cooling performance.
  • Troubleshoot design and system issues through root cause analysis and implementation of corrective actions.
  • Support laboratory and field testing to ensure compliance with global regulatory and safety standards.
  • Drive energy-efficient and electrification-focused solutions aligned with sustainability objectives.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
  • Work closely with electrical engineers, controls teams, and project managers to deliver fully integrated system designs.
  • Coordinate with suppliers and international stakeholders to ensure design quality, cost feasibility, and on-time delivery.
  • Provide technical support to production, sales, and field service teams as needed.
  • Support the development of technical documentation, including Bills of Materials (BOMs), test reports, and performance data sheets.
Compliance & Customer Focus
  • Ensure product designs meet defined project requirements and applicable standards.
  • Incorporate customer needs and market feedback into ongoing design improvements.
  • Prepare technical presentations and reports for internal and external stakeholders.
Candidate Profile
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
  • 5-10 years of experience in HVAC, chiller, or refrigeration product or system development.
  • Strong foundation in thermodynamics, refrigeration, heat transfer, and fluid mechanics.
  • Hands-on experience with system design, prototyping, testing, troubleshooting, and validation.
  • Familiarity with safety and compliance standards such as UL, CE, ASHRAE, ANSI, and ASME.
  • Experience working in cross-functional environments involving mechanical, electrical, and controls teams.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, global, cross-functional environment.
