We are currently looking for:



Senior Mechanical Engineer





As a member of Octasic's hardware team, the Senior Mechanical Engineer will be responsible for all packaging aspects of Octasic products. Octasic's cutting edge wireless products provide unparalleled performance, in a small footprint. The mechanical design engineer must create solutions to deliver compact, robust and reliable enclosures for a wide range of industrial and military wireless products, from hand-held to rackmount.



RESPONSIBILITIES

:





Lead and contribute to the design, analysis, and validation of mechanical systems and components in compliance with MIL standards; from concept through to mass production Collaborate with cross-functional teams including electrical, systems, and manufacturing engineers to ensure integrated product development. Interpret and apply MIL-STD specifications (e.g., MIL-STD-810) throughout the product lifecycle. Prepare and review technical documentation. Design for and support qualification and certification activities, including environmental, shock & vibration, ingress protection and EMI/EMC testing. Participate in design reviews and customer meetings as a subject matter expert. Create and manage bill of materials for each product Interact with external and internal stakeholders to optimize design for manufacturing Mentor junior engineers and provide technical leadership on projects. Support the legacy products, BOMs and drawings updates.

REQUIREMENTS:





Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field. 10-15 years of experience in mechanical engineering, preferably in defense, aerospace, telecom or high-reliability industries. Experience designing RF products with related EMI and cooling considerations Experience with PCB layout: keep-out, height restrictions, stack-up interferences, ... Experience with thermal modeling/simulation Proficient in 3D CAD modeling, preferably SolidWorks Good planning skills and ability to work on multiple projects Excellent command of French and English, both spoken and written, for effective communication with our international team The ability to use SolidWorks, Flow simulator and Windchill is an asset. Eligibility for security clearance is an asset.
