Company Motif Labs is a licensed cannabis extraction facility located in SW Ontario. Motif has 3 top-selling internal brands BoxHot, Floresense and Debunk. As well as operating a business-to-business enterprise, offering toll processing and contract manufacturing serviced to Licensed Producers (LP\xe2\x80\x99s) and 3rd Party Brands. Position Overview: \xc2\xb7 Initiates & leads the development of the Vapes, Pre-Rolls, Concentrate and Flower categories innovation pipeline in collaboration with the cross-functional team including idea generation, preparation of business plans, P&L management and post-launch audits. \xc2\xb7 Owns innovation \xe2\x80\x9cproof of concept\xe2\x80\x9d to drive growth for the brands. \xc2\xb7 Develop a near-term innovation funnel in collaboration with the cross-functional team. \xc2\xb7 Create, gain alignment on and deliver a 1-year brand strategy, analyzing category opportunities, pricing, identifying key consumer targets, innovation opportunities and activation strategies. \xc2\xb7 Execute the brand strategy in the market in collaboration with the Trade Marketing team, and measure and evaluate the impact. \xc2\xb7 Marketing Calendar execution and collaboration with Trade and Sales. \xc2\xb7 Brand Planning. \xc2\xb7 Ensures all brand programs aspect are consistent with brand foundations. \xc2\xb7 Ensures all projects are executed on time. \xc2\xb7 Drives the brand planning process for the brands and initiates mid to long-term objectives, strategies and plans based on category, brand, consumer, and market dynamics. \xc2\xb7 Lead application of insights to brand planning process and actions that will drive competitive advantage. \xc2\xb7 Lead the analysis and reporting of pricing, market segmentation, competitor, below-the-line results, SKU optimization channel and portfolio strategy. Identifies salient business issues/opportunities collaborating with cross-functional teams \xc2\xb7 Responsible for measuring and monitoring the brand performance on-going. \xc2\xb7 Recommend action plans and course-correcting when consumers, competition and the external environment change. \xc2\xb7 Drives the identification of consumer research objectives and consumer person, uses appropriate tools, interprets and ensures marketing programs/expenditures meet KPIs. Monitor product distribution and consumer reactions. \xc2\xb7 Monitors the competitive environment and translates knowledge into brand plans. \xc2\xb7 Innovation forecasting. \xc2\xb7 Oversees budgets across brand \xc2\xb7 Supports media plan development, including medium/mix analysis, weight level testing, and associated analysis to include media planning, copy testing, marketing plan optimization, and creative briefing initiatives. \xc2\xb7 Development of integrated campaigns. \xc2\xb7 Media and social planning. \xc2\xb7 Develop briefs. \xc2\xb7 Share communications and results. \xc2\xb7 Develop, deliver and iterate plans continuously with a resourceful, obsessive and fearless mindset with a focus on proving the case for brand expansion \xc2\xb7 Results-orientation and ability to operate with agility to run with, test and learn approach \xc2\xb7 Lead cross-functional and agency working teams which include but are not limited to the internal creative team, specialty agencies, sales, R&D and other business departments fostering and building a strong multi-functional team. Collaboration, alignment, and influence with multiple stakeholders are key to success Qualifications: \xc2\xb7 A dynamic, collaborative and experienced Senior Marketing Manager with commercial acumen, project management, brand foundations and a strong marketing, analytical and innovation background who can balance strategic thinking against key execution priorities. \xc2\xb7 Education: Minimum of Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree \xe2\x80\x93 preferably in Business Administration with a concentration in Marketing. Master\xe2\x80\x99s in business (MBA) or marketing a plus. \xc2\xb7 Solid experience in portfolio strategy/brand development, including brand positioning and brand launch activities \xc2\xb7 Proficiency in MS Office with emphasis on Excel, Powerpoint, and Word \xc2\xb7 Experience / Background: At least +7 years of Marketing experience. \xc2\xb7 Experience in CPG, alcohol, cannabis, tobacco and/or pharmaceuticals will be an asset. \xc2\xb7 Strong leadership, relationship management and influence skills \xc2\xb7 Strong financial / business acumen \xc2\xb7 Strong digital acumen with a focus on influencers, and social media. \xc2\xb7 Excellent verbal and written communication skills, as well as an outstanding aptitude for time management NOTE: All candidates are required to pass a criminal background check and provide a copy for employment at Motif.
