Job Overview


The Senior Marketing Campaigns Specialist is responsible for supporting Wawanesa\xe2\x80\x99s integrated marketing communications campaign strategy to customers, brokers, and industry.
This role will lead day-to-day activities that support acquisition and retention needs of Canadian Property & Casualty and its regions, including advertising campaigns, integrated customer communications, product launches, and Wawanesa\xe2\x80\x99s content strategy.
The Senior Marketing Campaigns Specialist is motivated, creative and highly adaptable to ongoing changes in the marketing industry and insurance marketplace.
Job Responsibilities
  • Works closely with the Manager, Marketing Campaigns, taking a leading role in the development and execution of marketing communications plans and strategies
  • Engages internal clients such as our regions, Business Development, Product and Pricing teams in Canadian P&C, the US Marketing team (content sharing and social media calendar coordination), to develop integrated targeted and mass marketing campaigns under the direction of Manager, Marketing Campaigns
  • Supports the Talent Acquisition team with social media campaign activity to support employee recruitment
  • Contributes toward the development of a Go-to-Market process to ensure product launches are strategically executed across all teams
  • Develops creative briefs to inform the direction for marketing communications projects from concept to completion; includes agency brief development
  • Manages the production of campaign materials and advertisements, providing direction to graphic designers, writers, liaising with websites, publications, vendors and ensuring on-time delivery
  • Creates concepts and leads content development for marketing communication initiatives spanning various channels and audiences, such as external websites, social platforms, advertising properties and marketing presentations
  • Works with the Employee, Corporate Communications and Community teams to coordinate the external execution of internal-oriented communications activities (PR, community, employee/corporate communications) across disparate teams
  • Proactively monitors our social media program, providing mentorship to the Social Media Specialist and leading the Social Media Engagement Team to ensure enterprise-wide alignment
  • Supports the organization\xe2\x80\x99s social media response as part of an integrated external response in crisis situations such as catastrophes


Qualifications


  • University degree or college diploma in business, marketing, marketing communications, or related field.
  • Minimum 5 years\xe2\x80\x99 experience in a marketing department or relevant agency
  • Experience working within cross-functional teams; strong collaboration and communication skills
  • Strong writing, editing and proofreading skills, with demonstrated experience writing for marketing campaigns and digital media
  • Demonstrated experience managing marketing campaign activity including the allocation and management of campaign budgets
  • Exceptional project management skills; detail oriented, organized and focused on timelines
  • Experience across multiple mediums, such as traditional advertising, digital communications, content marketing, video and social platforms
  • Working knowledge of Hootsuite social media publishing tool
  • A dynamic presenter capable of conveying complex ideas and strategies across diverse groups including senior leaders
  • Experience progressing work through various levels of stakeholder
  • Relentlessly curious about changes in the marketing field to deliver best in class marketing communications programs
  • Comfortable with ambiguity
  • Experience within insurance an asset
