Senior Manufacturing Engineer

Mississauga, ON, CA, Canada

Job Description

Overview

BEX Engineering is seeking a versatile and hands-on Senior Manufacturing Engineer to join and help grow our innovative team. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a small, fast-paced environment, enjoys wearing multiple hats, and is excited by the opportunity to help shape the direction of a growing engineering function. Candidates with experience in spray nozzles, spraying systems, pumps, or related industrial components will be especially well-suited to the position.

We're looking for someone who takes initiative, works independently, and combines technical expertise with a collaborative and solutions-oriented mindset--someone just as comfortable solving problems independently as they are working closely with teammates across departments.

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field. Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in manufacturing or product development. Strong working knowledge of CNC machining, with an emphasis on stainless steel and precision components. Familiarity with CAD/CAM tools (e.g., Mastercam, SolidWorks). Demonstrated ability to work independently, take initiative, and juggle multiple priorities in a dynamic setting. Strong team orientation and communication skills for effective collaboration across engineering, production, and sales teams. Comfortable operating in a lean team environment, adapting quickly and contributing broadly.

Preferred Experience

Background in spray systems, fluid dynamics, pumps, or tank mixing is highly desirable. Experience developing custom fluid-handling systems for industrial use. Exposure to automation, robotic integration, or smart manufacturing systems. Involvement in both prototype and low- to mid-volume production environments.

Responsibilities:

Exhibit a strong command of and genuine enthusiasm for a wide range of manufacturing processes, including CNC machining, injection moulding, metal forming, additive manufacturing (3D printing), die casting, and assembly operations. Proactively identify and implement process and product improvements, using robotics, automation, and modern manufacturing techniques to enhance efficiency, quality, and cost-effectiveness. Take initiative in product design and development, working collaboratively with engineering, management, and production to design and refine components. Apply a blend of manufacturing processes and creative problem-solving to develop and test prototypes, transforming ideas into fully functional, market-ready products. Develop deep subject matter expertise in spray nozzle and tank mixing eductor technologies, positioning yourself as a key technical resource within the team. Deliver responsive, hands-on technical support to customers, sales staff, and production teams, using critical thinking to troubleshoot issues and optimize system performance. Engage directly with customers alongside the sales team to understand application-specific needs. Design and implement tailored spraying and mixing systems that deliver optimal results across a wide range of industrial use cases. Maintain close collaboration with sales and production throughout the product development lifecycle, ensuring seamless communication, alignment, and follow-through from concept to implementation.
