Job SummaryWhat is the opportunity?The Senior Manager, Social & Innovation will help to advance RBC\xe2\x80\x99s Corporate Citizenship strategy as it relates to our ambition area of skills for a thriving future. Specifically, the incumbent will develop and lead both strategic and innovative programming, strengthen relationships in the social sector, work collaboratively with government, the private sector, and communities in which we live and work.The incumbent will drive social, economic, employee and business/brand impact through our Corporate Citizenship initiatives both within and beside the business, contributing to a high-performing team while acting as a corporate citizenship ambassador.You will work with partners to drive platform and enterprise outcomes aligned to the skills ambition area, including RBC Future Launch initiatives.What will you do?

  • Execute the strategy to drive to impact: (a) Gather, define, clarify insights to enable creative solutions to support the strategy; (b) Manage vendor relationships delivering social outcomes in alignment with our social impact innovation priorities.
  • Advance social impact outcomes as it relates to building networks (i.e. helping youth, newcomers, indigenous, etc. access the right advice at the right time) and gaining skills (i.e. helping them gain the skills they need to succeed in the future of work).
  • Work collaboratively across the business and sector partners to maximize value for key segments.
  • Accelerate the development of program offerings: (a) Primarily through the Future Launch/Community Investment website; (b) With an integrated \xe2\x80\x98More than Money\xe2\x80\x99 approach, focused on utility for youth, and with business value in mind; (c) Deliver against specific KPIs designed for portfolio (d) Charitable partners who deliver programs to key segments in line with the solution areas.
  • Identify opportunities for events and coordinate end to end (includes planning, scheduling, implementing, and evaluating)
  • Advise brand, communications, government relations and regional activation partners to maximize awareness and profile of the Skills ambition area.
  • Work closely with the Director, Youth Social Impact, to develop an external network of charitable partners and stakeholders to advance our program ambitions.

What do you need to succeed?Must-have
  • You hold a Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree, Master\xe2\x80\x99s preferred.
  • Along with Project management experience, you are a confident, you are a critical thinker you are creative can work collaboratively across diverse stakeholders.
  • You have strong RBC organizational understanding and/or awareness of RBC\xe2\x80\x99s Corporate Citizenship strategy.
  • You have 5+ years of specialized experience in the charitable sector and/or a deep understanding of the sector as it relates to Youth, newcomers, indigenous and other key demographics.
  • You can use your impact and influence to have challenging discussions and push the organization to achieve our strategic ambitions.
  • You are an ideas generator who can proactively translate them into strategy and execution.

  • You have a strong network within the charitable sector.
  • You have a deep understanding of the issues/challenges facing Canadian Youth, newcomers and BIPOC individuals.
  • You have excellent public speaking/presentation and written skills.
  • Confidence working with senior enterprise leaders.
  • IT product management experience.
  • High emotional intelligence as it relates to partnership management
  • Strong awareness of RBC and the various connection points with our team
