About the Centre for Social Innovation




The Centre for Social Innovation is a nonprofit social enterprise with a mission to catalyze, inspire and support new ideas that are making positive change in the world. We provide shared space and services to over 700 social mission groups, act as a community centre for social innovators, and help to launch new entrepreneurial and collaborative projects.



Collaboration, entrepreneurship and systems change are embodied in everything we do. We have the passion and drive of a young tech start-up but remain rooted in the social movements of the 60's and 70's and bring the professionalism of the 21st century. About the Role



We're looking for an exceptional Program Manager to lead the curation, planning, and execution of 75-100 social impact events annually. This is a dream job for the right person--someone who is deeply connected to the social impact ecosystem, thrives in event production, and has the strategic foresight to design experiences that are timely, relevant, and engaging for our community.



This role is perfect for someone who is both big-picture visionary and operationally excellent--a connector, curator, and producer who can spot trends, mobilize partners, and rapidly bring events to life.



Key Responsibilities



Event Curation & Strategy


Curate and develop a dynamic calendar of 75-100 events per year centered around social impact, innovation, and community-building. Maintain a pulse on emerging trends, conversations, and movements in the social impact field to ensure events are timely and relevant. Identify opportunities for collaborations, partnerships, and guest speakers that add value to the network.




Event Production & Execution


End-to-end event management--from concept to execution, ensuring smooth logistics, high production value, and meaningful attendee experiences. Working with a team. Handle program development, speaker management and overarching strategy work with CSI's team for technical and marketing teams Develop run-of-show timelines, event materials, and post-event reporting.




Membership & Stakeholder Engagement


Act as a listener and connector--engaging with members, partners, and thought leaders to surface compelling event ideas. Generate new ideas and plans to grow our membership strategy Work closely with internal teams (marketing, membership, partnerships) to align events with organizational goals. Build relationships with speakers, panelists, and facilitators, ensuring a diverse and compelling lineup of contributors.




Operational & Budget Oversight


Manage event budgets, sponsorships, and partnerships to maximize impact and financial sustainability. Track key performance metrics--attendance, engagement, impact--and continuously refine event strategy.




What We're Looking For



Deep knowledge & passion for the social impact space - You're plugged into emerging issues, thought leaders, and trends in social innovation, equity, and sustainability.





Proven experience in event production - You've designed, produced, and executed high-quality events, ideally in the nonprofit, startup, or innovation sectors.





Creative curator & trend-spotter - You can spot opportunities, move quickly, and bring fresh, exciting conversations to life.





Detail-oriented executor - You sweat the small stuff, ensuring every event is well-organized and impactful.





Strong network & relationship-building skills - You're a natural connector who can bring together the right people, partners, and speakers.





Fast-paced, adaptable, and resourceful - You thrive in high-energy environments, juggle multiple projects, and find creative solutions on the fly.





Excellent communication skills - You can write compelling event descriptions, moderate panels, and engage diverse audiences.



Bonus Skills


Experience with event tech & hybrid/virtual event platforms. Existing relationships with social impact leaders, speakers, and organizations. * Marketing, sponsorship, or partnership experience.
