Joining the Risk Management team at National Bank means contributing to the transformation and having a direct impact on clients. The Senior Manager, Risk Management, Culture and Transformation is a pragmatic and visionary leader, committed to promoting and influencing a sound risk management culture aligned with the BankaAEURA(TM)s orientations and values. You will maintain a governance framework for effective risk management by ensuring the progression of the group transformation blueprint.a, You will implement and support a culture of excellence in an inclusive work environment.a, This position reports to the Senior Vice-President, Enterprise-Wide Risk.

Your role

  • Promote a sound risk management culture across the organization and help deploy initiatives to ensure that risk management is an integral part of the BankaAEURA(TM)s cultural evolution
  • Make recommendations and lead initiatives with a view to improving the posture of the risk management culture so we can achieve our transformation objectives
  • Guide the evolution of risk management governance practices and help increase operations efficiency to support management in decision-making, while ensuring stakeholder buy-in
  • Be responsible for the rotation and interns risk management program and help develop risk management training content
  • Coordinate logistics for the risk management sectoraAEURA(TM)s various committees, townhalls, and the strategic planning exercise which includes developing indicators to closely monitor it
  • Direct and monitor the management of transformation-related communications/relationships and coordinate and help draft the Risk Management section of the annual report
  • Help carry out initiatives related to the Risk Management sectoraAEURA(TM)s transformation
  • Help maintain and advance the reputational risk management framework

Required skills
  • BacheloraAEURA(TM)s degree in a related field and 10 years of relevant experience OR a Master's degree in a related field and 8 years of relevant experience
  • At least 3aAEURA"5 yearsaAEURA(TM) experience in risk management for a financial institution
  • Experience defining mandates, creating committees, and implementing processes
  • Experience working with senior management to manage deliverables
  • Bilingualism (English and French) required, as you will regularly do business with partners across Canada
Preferred skills
  • Experience in strategic planning, an asset
  • Excellent prioritization skills and ability to work on several complex files
  • Business and risk savvy and able to make decisions in uncertain situations
  • Autonomy, initiative, and leadership
  • Good organizational skills and ability to structure complex initiatives
