About RBCx Ventures Analytics
The RBCx Venture Analytics team solves strategic problems across the organization using a data-driven approach. We leverage data to unlock opportunities, influence strategy, assess the impact of business tactics, and make relevant recommendations to individual ventures, and internal or external partners. Our team has seen massive growth since last year and has provided tremendous value across RBC Ventures teams and RBC Lines of Business (LOB). Our priority is to continue the expansion of the team to scale our services and provide opportunities for new team members to find innovative solutions.
What is the opportunity?
Collaborate with Ventures and/or RBCs external partners to understand core business goals and help achieve results through a data-driven approach.
Develop strong relationships with your stakeholders to achieve superior business results and long-lasting impact.
Design and conduct analyses using various techniques (developing frameworks, dashboarding, segmentation, modeling) to provide value for the stakeholders you support.
Communicate approaches & insights effectively to influence decision-making at senior leadership levels.
What do you need to succeed?
Business acumen, curiosity, good communication, and strong technical skills.
Must-Have:
5+ years of relevant experience in an analytical function (e.g. Business Analytics, Consulting).
3+ years of SQL (for analyses & creating reports) with additional experience in predictive analytics (R, Python, etc.).
Experience with complex, large-scale relational databases, and statistical programs, with an aptitude to adapt and implement additional technical applications or tools
Experience managing data tools/platforms and hosting team-based knowledge-sharing sessions
Proven track record of communicating analytics and Machine Learning results back to business partners and/or C-level.
Ability to inform and influence stakeholders cross-functionally through data, and building relationships, while communicating early and often

Nice to Have:
Experience publishing reports/dashboards, and visualizations with Tableau is a big plus.
Leadership experience (in direct and/or indirect reporting capacity).
University degree in a quantitative field of study (e.g., statistics, economics, analytics)
