Role and Responsibilities

The role we are offering you:

The Product Sustainment Leader leads and manages the Defence & Security (D&S) Product Sustainment department. The group provides D&S customers and regional partners worldwide, with warranty and post warranty services, once the customer takes ownership of their device, and during the operational life of CAE\xe2\x80\x99s training systems and products.

Responsible to grow the after-market business and services opportunities, and portfolio with the regional services organizations. Responsible for the financial performance and results executed by the group. Responsible for customer delight and product sustainment during the operational life of the product.

Are you ready to :

  • Lead a team of 25-30 employees composed of mostly of customer experience leads, project managers, planners, logistics and technical employees (2-4 group leaders and direct reports) \xe2\x80\x93 responsible for their resourcing, wellbeing, performance, engagement, development, and growth.
  • Responsible for the health and safety of employees under their organization as well as vendors working in the field on our projects.
  • Ensure the team follows the standards, processes, and policies, based on the CMMI, best practices and CAE Quality Management System and policies
  • Build and maintain a strong relationship with counterparts in Montreal and worldwide. Reporting into the International Project Management organization with close collaboration with the US Product Sustainment organizations.
  • Responsible for growth, with the regional services organizations, to stimulate the number of opportunities related to the post-delivery services business segment.
  • Responsible to maintain a healthy warranty provision system, and wide services offering:
  • Responsible to ensure and align an efficient support system in place to address the sustainment requirements, involving multiple departments (engineering, operations, technical services, manufacturing, GSS, etc.) and communicate status, performance, and ongoing issues and resolution scenarios to senior management.
  • Resolve complex customer issues and communicate and escalate risks and customer satisfaction to senior management.
  • Responsible to ensure an 24/7 Emergency Support (AOG: Aircraft On Ground) system is in place to support the operators when a training system is declared unavailable to train.
  • Responsible for the Lead to Award (bid) process within the Product Sustainment group, and additionally, for the Global Proposal process pertaining to post-delivery requirements:
  • Capture of opportunities, collaborating with the regional business development service organization
  • Approves Montreal workshare costs, pricing, commercial clauses and execution strategy for post-delivery service contracts and products during proposal phase.
  • Support vendor/OEM negotiations for workshare of services.
  • Ensure financial targets are achieved including revenues, profit and cash objectives
  • Creates Product Sustainment strategic plan.
  • Responsible for establishing and monitoring KPI\xe2\x80\x99s metrics and taking actions to resolve issues as required and communicate status, performance, and ongoing issues and improvement action plans to senior management.
  • Responsible for the continuous improvement of the product sustainment system
Our ideal candidate has:
  • Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree in Business Administration, Engineering or other related field
  • 8-12 years of experience in Customer Services Experience, Product Sustainment, Program Management, Business Development or related field
  • Experience in managing a multidisciplinary team and collaboration with international stakeholders
  • Experience in projects portfolios, PMP certified an asset
  • Excellent knowledge of services or projects financials
  • Customer-client focus, understands the business and the needs of the customer
  • Show resilience when facing obstacle and a positive change agent
  • Strong interpersonal skills with a demonstrate ability to effectively communication ideas and actions to people within the organization
  • Strong communication skills in both English and French
  • Able to work in fast-paced and dynamic environment
  • Able to travel worldwide on occasions, if required
  • Knowledge of CAE organization, products, systems and tools, an asset
  • Bilingualism (French and English)
  • CAE employees must be able to meet the requirements of the Canada Controlled Goods Program (CGP), and in certain cases, ITAR requirements.
