The Opportunity:

We\'re looking for a Senior Manager, Product Marketing to join our Marketing team.

This role can be mostly remote, however we will on occasion require you to come onsite to our office at 151 Yonge St, Toronto, ON.

Reporting to the Director, Product Marketing, the Senior Manager, Product Marketing is responsible for developing and executing compelling go-to-market plans that will increase product penetration within both the credit union and third-party financial advisor intermediary distribution channels.

The Senior Manager, Product Marketing will partner with the Asset Management (NEI Investments) business line to deliver results aimed at strengthening awareness and the competitive positioning of this business across target markets, as well as achieving market adoption and division growth objectives. The range of responsibilities includes market analysis, competitive analysis, content development, communication, and promotion of key products and solutions using a variety of channels.

What your day looks like:
  • Develop and execute go-to-market plans for the Asset Management business line in collaboration with division leadership, internal cross-functional teams, and external stakeholders
  • Understand the competitive landscape, customer insights and digital trends to develop segmentation strategies and product positioning
  • Engage with stakeholders and leaders to gather content and feedback in developing/refining relevant and compelling marketing programs, and messaging
  • Build and execute plans that differentiate our products and position them as industry-leading solutions
  • Develop campaign and program marketing briefs and plans
  • Lead the development and implementation of campaign and program launches, marketing programs, events, sales enablement (fact sheets, case studies, tools, etc.), PR/influencers, advertising, social media, working with a cross functional team of business and marketing professionals
  • Monitor results and optimize plans to deliver value and achieve targeted KPIs
  • Ensure compliance with communication policies, procedures, and brand standards
  • Form and foster relationships with internal colleagues to leverage existing resources and align goals across product lines and delivery channels
  • Represent Marketing on any cross-functional Asset Management working groups, as required
  • Excellent project management skills (preferably Agile ways of working experience) with ability to multi-task, set measurable objectives, manage defined timelines and budgets for each campaign
  • Strong understanding of Canada\'s regulatory environment, specifically as it relates to mutual funds /asset management products and services
  • Experience marketing to Canada\'s independent, third-party financial advisors
  • Create compelling and strategic presentations to obtain buy-in and alignment from key stakeholders
  • Build and maintain process documentation, establish best practices, and execute acquisition and lifecycle marketing operations
  • Proactively identify gaps in process, propose solutions, and ultimately, improve efficiency
  • Create and maintain daily, weekly, monthly, and quarterly reports to help manage the business and identify trends, channel, and market opportunities
  • Keep current with industry changes and the competitive landscape
Requirements:

Your experience and skills:
  • Bachelor\'s degree required (Business, Marketing, Communications or similar)
  • Minimum 5 years of experience within the investment management industry, including an understanding of responsible investing
  • 7+ years of relevant product marketing experience and a successful track record of building strong product marketing strategies, both online and off, to maintain a sustained competitive advantage.
  • Fluent in dealing across multiple channels, in a B2B environment with multiple partners and more broadly with the market as a whole
  • Strong creative and content development skills, with the ability to shape product messaging and partner with internal resources to deliver results.
  • Strong analytical background: understanding of how marketing drives positive business outcomes and how to use data to refine and improve marketing activities
  • Excellent project management skills (Experience with Agile ways of working is preferred) with ability to multi-task and set measurable objectives within defined timelines and budgets
  • Self-starter with strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to prioritize in a fast-paced environment
  • CFA designation an asset
  • A responsible investment certification through the RIA Canada a definite asset
  • Fluent communication skills in English required and bilingual skills in French are an asset
