Purpose

Contributes to the overall success of the Automotive Finance in Canada ensuring specific individual goals, plans, initiatives are executed / delivered in support of the team\xe2\x80\x99s business strategies and objectives. Ensures all activities conducted are in compliance with governing regulations, internal policies and procedures.

Accountabilities

  • Product and pricing owner of Automotive Finance\xe2\x80\x99s non-subvented strategy by proactively managing margin and growing revenue within prime retail loans through originations while managing the product and achieving NIM and ROAC profit plans.
  • Champions a customer focused culture to deepen client relationships and leverage broader Bank relationships, systems and knowledge.
  • In partnership with the Director, Manufacturer Partnerships and with the Sales Leaders across Canada, the incumbent to develops recommendations/strategies and manages end-to-end pricing for Automotive Finance\xe2\x80\x99s non-subvented business for Auto Dealer, RV, Marine, Leisure& Motorcycle. This involves a high degree of analysis, presenting to executives and managing day-to-day pricing needs with Dealer Finance Centres. He/She directly contributes to the business unit\xe2\x80\x99s strategic planning and profitable revenue growth and is responsible to ensure the Bank is competitively positioned to meet the rapidly changing current and future needs of the market.
  • Manages and executes product launches end-to-end for Auto Dealer, RV, Marine, Leisure & Motorcycle including product strategy and pricing. The incumbent has responsibility for ongoing market scoping and analysis, identifying market opportunities that lead to new product and program development, and will be the business lead for the management of complex project/programs as directed. This includes submission of NIRA\xe2\x80\x99s and working with multiple stakeholders across the bank including legal, GRM, Operations, etc.
  • Maintaining retail customer engagement and third-party vendor management by documenting key business requirements related to potential opportunities, preparing proposals, developing and implementing action plans and strategies and designing and recommending enhancements to existing products to maximize value to the business and the client/dealer.
  • Engaging in strategic project management by collaborating with the Director, GRM and Finance & Accounting in the development of pricing, profitability and sensitivity models to ensure proper risk analysis and to aid in the development of product concepts and proposals. While also participating in the creation of innovative product solutions that will continually redefine the market standard to support the Marketing & Sales leadership team, with a strong focus on digital direct product execution and delivery.
  • Provide ongoing insight of sales analysis onbookings, pricing,portfolio trends, credit and other information that will support the executive evaluation for business decisions in Automotive Finance. This insight is not limited to the non-subvented portfolio but includes supporting analysis on the subvented and individual OEM book of business. The incumbent is a critical resource for the Sales Leaders across Canada as well as the Relationship Managers within the Manufacturer Partnerships Team as he/she is expected to support sales events, quarterly business reviews with partners and any ad hoc business related problems or opportunities that have been identified. The output of this person is not limited to insights and should include recommendations and solutions in the recommendations.
  • Understand how the Bank\xe2\x80\x99s risk appetite and risk culture should be considered in day-to-day activities and decisions.
  • Actively pursues effective and efficient operations of his/her respective areas, while ensuring the adequacy, adherence to and effectiveness of day-to-day business controls to meet obligations with respect to operational risk, regulatory compliance risk, AML/ATF risk and conduct risk, including but not limited to responsibilities under the Operational Risk Management Framework, Regulatory Compliance Risk Management Framework, AML/ATF Global Handbook and the Guidelines for Business Conduct.
  • Champions a high performance environment and implements a people strategy that attracts, retains, develops and motivates their team by fostering an inclusive work environment; communicating vison/values/business strategy and managing succession and development planning for the team.
  • At some point, this role may have direct reports that will take on pure data/analytics functions in order for the Senior Manager to continue to add value and contribute on strategic initiatives and growth plans.
Education / Experience / Other Information
  • 5+ years of experience working with data, analytics, business development and enterprise sales analysis
  • 2+ years of experience working with a sales team
  • Skilled in reviewing data and developing recommendations (qualitative/quantitative data to drive desired behaviour)
  • In-depth knowledge of business related computer software specifically Tableau, Excel, PowerPoint and Word (data import/export).
  • Strong communicator and proven ability to work with executives on strategic initiatives and collaboratively across multiple teams.
  • Post-secondary degree in Business
The following would be an asset but not required
  • Strong knowledge of the banking industry
  • MBA/ Masters in Finance/CFA/CPA
