The Role

As the Senior Manager, People & Culture, you\xe2\x80\x99ll be at the forefront of shaping organizational success across all business areas related to Cymax Group, alongside the Director, People & Culture. With a strong strategic and operational mindset, you\xe2\x80\x99ll be driving initiatives within the organization across the full employee lifecycle, including talent acquisition, onboarding & development, talent management, total rewards, and employee experience within our remote-first environment.

Who You Are

  • Several years of generalist experience, specifically in corporate recruitment and HR operations including talent management, total rewards, learning & development, succession planning, employee relations, engagement and business partnership, with ideally 3 years in a leadership and people management role
  • A business leader, who is equally a builder of HR solutions based on HR best practices, as well as, an astute business member who employs solutions that affect performance.
  • Knowledge of P&C functions and best practices, with an understanding of employment regulations across multiple jurisdictions. Experience in both a Canadian and US environment a bonus.
  • Experience in advising on compensation related activities such as processes and practices, total rewards, job architecture, job evaluation, salary and career banding is considered an asset.
  • Experience with a rapid and complex changing work environment.
  • Proven ability to spearhead organizational change efforts, cultivating adaptability and resilience within teams.
  • Can balance compassion and toughness in coaching others.
  • Bias for action, stellar work ethic, and desire to achieve excellence.

What You\xe2\x80\x99ll Do

Generalist Duties:
  • Responsible for the full P&C lifecycle including Recruitment & Onboarding, Talent Management, Employee Engagement, Total Rewards, Career Development, Leadership Development, Performance Management, Employee Wellness & Support, Health & Safety, Employee Policies, Offboarding.
  • Develop and implement new policies and procedures to provide continuous improvement in business objectives.
  • Align business objectives with people-centric solutions to foster positive impact on team members.
  • Collaborate within and across functions such as Payroll & Benefits, Finance, Marketing & Communications, and all other departments as a business partner.
  • Utilize analytical skills and thorough attention to detail in comprehending intricate issues and root causes by leveraging quantitative and qualitative data to derive insights, inform decision-making, and devise effective solutions.
Recruitment & Onboarding:
  • The subject matter expert for all Talent Acquisition processes and responsible to support the recruitment & onboarding team
  • Responsible for full recruitment lifecycle including: team management, recruitment strategies, and onboarding practices to attract and retain exceptional employees.
  • Oversee resources, staffing, budgets well as the coaching & development of a best-in-class team recruitment and onboarding team
  • Initiate and confirm that all P&C approval forms are correctly completed by management with appropriate approval
  • Develop and deliver on recruitment strategies both internally and externally
  • Ensure that Recruitment team\xe2\x80\x99s respective hiring metrics are met or exceeding monthly, quarterly and annually targets
  • Mentor team members including regular performance reviews and on-time feedback
  • Partner with business leaders on succession plans for key roles. Partner with the Workforce Planning function to support people resources to deliver on business operations requirements
  • Manage full-cycle recruitment process for high priority/complexity or senior roles
Business Partnership & Talent Management:
  • Partner with and provide guidance to business leaders on various aspects related to people, such as organizational effectiveness, organizational design, change management, talent management, career coaching, team effectiveness, and performance management
  • Collaborate with the P&C team to develop, finalize and implement our talent management framework including our job architecture, career levels, salary bands and developmental competencies.
  • Drive strong employee engagement across the company in partnership with Senior Leadership and all people managers
  • Actively engage in departmental town halls and leadership meetings
People Development & Learning:
  • Act as a business partner to managers and key stakeholders at various leadership level across the organization
  • Assist managers by offering coaching in performance management and improvement, facilitating the development and follow-up of action plans aimed at enhancing employee performance and growth
  • Support department leads and people managers in ensuring they are supporting and developing their team\xe2\x80\x99s talent
  • Develop and maintain training material to provide consistent employee experience
  • Create and develop people strategies and programs to support Cymax Group\xe2\x80\x99s ongoing growth and objectives.
  • Partner with the Director, P&C and then Continuous Improvement Training & Development team to deliver relevant programs.

Compensation

We are committed to transparency in our hiring process. The Salary Range for this role is between $80,000 and $100,000 CAD depending on experience, skills, training and organizational needs. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level and location. This compensation range reflects the minimum and maximum for new hire salaries for the position. It is not typical for an individual to be hired at or above the midpoint of the range for their role. Only in rare and exceptional circumstances, where a candidate has the experience, skills and expertise to far exceed those required for the position, will we consider paying above the midpoint of the range for this role.
