What is the opportunity?




As a key member of the performance management team in Personal & Commercial Banking Finance, this role will manage ongoing forecast, planning, and analysis (FP&A) activities for Personal Banking Chief Operating Office (PBCOO) ensuring accurate, timely, and insightful deliverables. In this role, you will be responsible for establishing and enhancing controls, develop transformational analytical tools, as well as preparing presentation materials for the CFO of Personal and Commercial Banking and other senior management stakeholders in CFO Group and PBCOO.

What you will do?



Manage the COO and Payments Finance Performance Management reporting mandate for weekly/ monthly/ quarterly/ reporting for senior management and functional partners (inclusive of month-end and quarter-end commentary) Support ongoing and ad hoc deliverables to PBCOO business partners and Personal Banking Finance partners Co-ordinate the Plan & 5-year Financial Outlook for the business by guiding business advisory and functional partners through activities and milestones and employing key project management techniques Identify transformation opportunities for the forecast & planning processes, including new technologies, to improve productivity and increase capacity for value-add analysis and insights Proactively provide expert analysis and advice to the EVP Personal Banking COO (PBCOO) and the Senior Management Team through reporting and insights for PBCOO NIE including key information, and ongoing advice to enable management decision making and establish action plans to maximize financial performance. Support business initiatives across all PBCOO LOBs - Regulatory Strategy & Delivery, Enterprise Payments, Solutions Acceleration & Innovation, Performance & Transformation, PB Strategy Centre of Expertise for Enterprise Payments, including Moneris, Interac, Payments Canada, Swift and Symcor Responsible for development of NIE allocation % at the PBCOO cost transit level to enable full P&L reporting for Canadian Banking Lines of Business. Increase transparency in cost structure and identify opportunities to improve efficiencies and drive cost savings Key support to the Director, COO and Payments Finance and the Senior Director, Operations and Strategic Finance, proactively adding value added expertise and advice on initiatives and their impact on financial performance.

What do you need to succeed?



Must Have



Undergraduate degree or equivalent work experience 5+ years' experience in an accounting/finance and reporting environment Excellent communication skills, both oral & written, with good interpersonal skills to establish relationships across all levels of the Enterprise Advanced user proficiency with computer applications, such as Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, spreadsheet/financial management tools, and any other related accounting software Strong investigative mindset and acute attention to detail Highly motivated, collaborative, and self-starter attitude

Nice to Have



Accounting designation (CPA, CFA) or MBA Exposure to Personal and Commercial banking products, payments products and processes A cross-functional working career including positions in several areas of RBC or another financial institution(s)
