Job Summary





What is the opportunity?




The Senior Manager, NIE Analytics & International Banking Reporting, is the Finance Lead responsible for overseeing over $3 billion in technology & functional support and occupancy costs for RBC's Personal Banking & Commercial Banking businesses. The Senior Manager is also responsible for facilitating NIE allocations to products across Personal Banking & Commercial Banking. The role is also a lead in Platform Performance Management for driving insights for the Caribbean and US Banking businesses. The Senior Manager will provide executives and senior management with insights and actionable information to effectively understand trends within expense management and International Banking portfolios.

What you will do?



Oversee over $3 billion in technology/functional support and occupancy costs across Personal Banking & Commercial Banking, acting as the centre of expertise for investigating and improving the transparency of support costs Platform lead coordinating with the Caribbean and US Banking Finance teams, responsible for reviewing results and forecasts of these regions, driving deeper insights and oversight Facilitate NIE product allocations across Personal Banking & Commercial Banking, including the annual refresh of the cost allocation process, collaborating with a range of business and finance partners Contribute to developing the Personal Banking Flash. This is a monthly document providing a summary of results and analysis encompassing Personal Banking - Canada, US Banking and Caribbean Banking that is distributed to senior executives including the CEO, CFO, Head of Personal Banking and their Operating Committee Coordinate with business and functional partners on initiative tracking, forecasting for Application Development spend with oversight over related capitalization and depreciation Provide insights and transparency for centralized expenses such as capital taxes, deposit insurance premium, fraud and sundry losses Continuously improve processes, find opportunities to standardize, automate and free-up capacity for value-add analysis and insights Lead or participate in ad-hoc projects and information requests as required

What you need to succeed?



Must Have



CPA or similar financial designation with 5+ years of post-qualification experience in Finance Highly developed interpersonal skills for effective collaboration and building relationships at various organization levels Self-motivated - ability to work both independently and collaboratively with multi-functional teams Strong business acumen, problem solving and analytical mindset Strong ability to deal with ambiguity, multiple data sources, and translating data/analysis into key messages and insights Strong communication and presentation skills Advanced proficiency in MS Office including Excel and PowerPoint
