Located at our Belleville office, under the direction and supervision of the Director, Corporate Services, the Senior Manager, Human Resources & Service Administration is responsible for the provision of integrated human resources and service administration programs across the organization. The incumbent is responsible for enabling effective union-management relations, and for supporting a positive employee relations environment. The Senior Manager, Human Resources & Service Administration is a member of the Senior Leadership Team of Highland Shores and a resource to the Board and its Committees.

The Senior Manager, Human Resources & Service Administration, in keeping with Highland Shores' statement of Vision, Mission and Values will provide leadership in the development and implementation of human resources and service administration policies, procedures and programs, and assist in the development of the HSCA strategic plan. The incumbent applies a solid knowledge and understanding of strategic human resources management in a not-for-profit, unionized environment, and is adept in administrative responsibilities.

Required Qualifications, Knowledge, Education and Skills:



University degree in Human Resources, business management, or a related discipline. Membership in Human Resources Professional Association of Ontario (preferably a Certified Human Resources Leader), considered an asset. Minimum 5 years' progressive experience in human resources management and labour relations. Sound knowledge of employment legislation: Employment Standards Act, Labour Relations Act, Human Rights Code, Occupational Health and Safety Act and related legislation. Strategic planning and organizational development experience would be a strong asset. Experience managing budgets. Skilled in the development of policies and procedures. Proven experience in process and change management. A thorough understanding of, and commitment to leading Highland Shores' values, service philosophy, policies and procedures. Demonstrated excellence in leadership, coaching, team building and the ability to manage and supervise staff activities that align with the objectives and culture of the organization. Demonstrated organizational, research, analytical, mediation, strategic thinking, and interpersonal skills. Skilled in the use of Microsoft Office, HRIMS, and adaptability to new systems. Excellent oral and written communication skills, including demonstrated capacity to manage and resolve conflict, seek solutions to identified challenges and initiate proactive measures to enhance the culture of the organization. Demonstrated integration of EDI lens into daily practice. Ability to balance multiple priorities and pressing deadlines. A valid driver's license and $1,000,000 automobile liability insurance. Satisfactory Criminal Record and Judicial Matters Check. Eligibility to work in Canada.

Salary Range:

$108,676 - $132,215. We offer a competitive benefits and compensation package and opportunities for professional development.
