Job Summary



What is the opportunity?

The Senior Manager, HRS & Adverse Support will provide oversight, training and general support to 3 GG08\xe2\x80\x99s who cover High Risk Sector Alert Analysis (HRSAA) and second level review of Control List Filter (CLF) alerts as well as ownership of the processes for each role; They are directly responsible for the Fircosoft Live Alerts Process which includes an evaluation of live transactions to either pass or escalate the trades, as appropriate, after contemplation of any potential AML/Financial Crimes concerns.

What will you do?

  • Review of GLA & Trade Operations alerts to confirm if there are any AML or any other Financial Crime concerns.
  • Inputting commentary into various systems (FIRCO, Trade360) to evidence all actions taken with respect to the Fircosoft Live Alerts Process.
  • The Senior Manager is expected to be working under tight timelines supporting the live FIRCO alerts process, which may require the Senior Manager being available on public holidays.
  • Oversee the successful operation and/or implementation of related processes ensuring timeliness benchmarks and SLAs are met and process documentation is followed.
  • Ensure staffing levels are appropriate to meet established benchmarks for the team.
  • Responsible for the development and implementation of procedures designed to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the functions overseen.
  • Responsible for providing a senior level of advice, guidance and clear direction to RBC Staff and other stakeholders.
  • Collaborate internally to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of RBC\xe2\x80\x99s AML compliance programme.
  • Implement changes to all processes/procedures to address issues identified by Internal Audit Services, Global Oversight Testing, Quality Assurance, internal AML compliance counterparts across various platforms, and external regulators.
What do you need to succeed?

Must have
  • 5-7 years of relevant experience
  • Experience in financial crime and/or money laundering investigations within banking, law enforcement, or a regulatory body
  • Experience with Microsoft Excel
  • Effective and strong people management skills
  • Effective and strong oral and written communication skills
  • Highly developed organizational skills
Nice to have
  • Undergraduate university degree or equivalent.
  • CAMS designation
