Reporting to the Director, Financial Reporting, the Senior Manager, Financial Reporting will play a key role in the preparation of OMERS consolidated financial statements and other external and internal reporting and analysis requirements. Researching and documenting OMERS position on certain technical accounting issues, assisting with the high quality and timely execution of monthly and quarterly corporate close process, and enhancing process efficiencies and controls. This role also involves collaboration with the wider Corporate Finance team and with finance teams across the enterprise. It provides opportunities to work alongside senior leaders across the OMERS organization and with the external auditor, and develop new skillsets for your growing career.
The incumbent will demonstrate strength in technical accounting and accounting standards, experience in financial reporting and a track record of working on and leading high performing teams. You are insightful and curious, take pride in producing high quality work and possess a desire to build a team community. A positive mindset and can-do attitude, coupled with strong communication skills, will be paramount to the incumbent's success.r
