If you are someone who approaches work with passion, curiosity and the courage to innovate, then this role is for you We are looking for a Senior Manager, Finance Transformation to join us in the exciting work we do in Finance Transformation Team. Reporting to the Vice President, Finance Services and Finance Transformation, it\xe2\x80\x99ll be your responsibility to overseeing the transformation of ATCO\xe2\x80\x99s Finance function. In this position, you also get to lead a team of specialized resources to develop and deliver initiatives for the various Finance organizations throughout ATCO. What Else You Get To Do: Strategic Roadmap
  • Maintain a working roadmap that is used to prioritize and implement improvement initiatives.
  • Prioritize initiatives based on impacts, available resources, and achievability.
  • Collaborate with stakeholder groups to ensure priorities are addressed.
  • Develop overall strategies with a focus on outcomes.
  • Develop defined deliverables for the team to ensure successful execution.
Data & Analytics Foundation
  • Assess current technology capabilities, identify gaps and initiatives to improve.
  • Collaborate with finance teams to identify areas for improvement.
  • Document finance business architecture which includes applications, integrations, and data models.
  • Implement initiatives to improve the quality of finance data and recommend governance structures.
  • Mentor organization on best practices for analytics, storytelling, dashboards, etc.
Process Enablement Methodology
  • Manage a master list of all finance processes.
  • Maintain a standard approach and methodology for process enablement projects to include improvements to people, process, technology, and structure.
  • Develop scaling methodologies to drive efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Recommend a process priority evaluation method to establish a roadmap.
  • Capture and use stakeholder feedback to improve processes and user experience.
Knowledge Centre
  • Continually learn the best-in-class processes and tools used for reporting.
  • Work as a central hub for all organizations on tools, processes and roadmap.
  • Maintain a list of technology solutions and their application to business outcomes.
  • Research, present and resolve issues.
  • Maintain reporting procedures and provide required support as needed.
  • Apply industry knowledge to interpret data and improve performance.
  • Keep abreast of industry news and trends.
People Leadership
  • Supervise and manage direct reports and oversee all departmental staff with respect to recruitment, talent management & professional development, performance management and employee relations.
  • Coach, mentor and teach individual team members to perform to the maximum of their ability and to co-ordinate progressive skills development and cross training of employees.
  • Structure, lead, train, and develop staff for maximum effectiveness. Provide internal leadership, consulting support and training to all finance staff with respect to information systems.
  • Provide leadership to all members of the finance organization that are involved in cross functional improvement teams led by Finance Transformation.
Who You Are:
  • Minimum of an undergraduate degree
  • Minimum 15 years\xe2\x80\x99 relevant experience with at least 8 years management experience
  • Professional designation is required, preferably Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Project Management Professional (PMP), or MBA.
  • Experience leading finance process improvement initiatives, including system implementations, would be considered an asset.
  • Exceptional project management and interpersonal/leadership skills with the ability to develop relationships easily and effectively across a broad range of internal and external parties.
  • Superior verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to see the big picture and interpret and assess the short- and long-term impacts of actions and strategies.
  • Results oriented and deadline driven.
