Here\xe2\x80\x99s our story: jobs.td.com Department Overview As part of TD\xe2\x80\x99s Marketing department, the \xe2\x80\x98North American Personalization, Digital Marketing, and Orchestration\xe2\x80\x99 team is responsible for leading our digital marketing transformation. The team carries the mandate to build the digital marketing ecosystem to enable personalized communications at all interactions with our customers and prospect. Leveraging a best-in-class content strategy, our personalized communications will ensure TD is delivering breakthrough creative and the best, personalized and connected experiences for our customers. The second goal of the group is to drive leadership in all digital marketing channels across paid, owned, and earned. This means that we will strive to enable best-practices in each channel, define the leading practices and beat competitive benchmarks. The primary goal of the group is to optimize the customer journey from start to finish, ultimately improving performance and driving ROI in each marketing channel for our business and channel partners. Reporting to the \xe2\x80\x98Associate Vice President, Digital Marketing Capabilities and Insights\xe2\x80\x99, the \xe2\x80\x98Senior Manager (Head of) Onsite Strategy, Capabilities, and Innovation\xe2\x80\x99 will lead a team of digital marketers and be accountable for Digital Marketing\xe2\x80\x99s portion of 1) Managing Ad and Content Personalization on TD\xe2\x80\x99s public websites to improve ROI and Customer Experience, 2) Audience Strategy and Execution, and 3) Capabilities (aka MarTech) management, expert advice, support, and training for specific technologies Key Accountabilities Leadership & People Management (20%)
Accountable for leading a cross-functional team of SME\xe2\x80\x99s to deliver highly optimized digital marketing programs, achieving aggressive annual targets
Set the strategic direction for the team: Monitor industry trends and the competitive landscape, providing thought leadership and direction to help TD become industry-leading
Develop the team through active coaching
Define and evolve operational excellence, leveraging Enterprise Scaled Agile where appropriate
Hire and develop marketing talent that is enterprise assets for the organization
Provide ongoing reporting of results, insights to performance, inputs for annual planning
Create an enablement plan to ensure Marketers get the most value out of the team\xe2\x80\x99s offerings
Create a communication strategy to socialize plans and results with key partners
Public Site Personalization and Banner Advertising (30%)
Lead Public Site Personalization and Public Site Banner Advertising not through direct ownership, but through shared ownership with another department, and through influencing of key partners
Deliver initiatives that drive results through reaching, engaging and ultimately converting customers through TD\xe2\x80\x99s owned public digital properties
Understand overall business objectives and identify data-driven personalization or a/b/multivariate testing opportunities
Use a variety of research techniques to inform initiatives: competitive analysis, web analytics, customer analytics, advertising analytics, etc.
Coordinate and influence across a matrixed organization to deliver initiatives (Digital Marketing, Product Marketing, Digital Channel, In-house agency, Line of Business, etc.); foster strong working-relationships with partners
Act as an evangelist for Website Personalization and Advertising
Lead Audience Strategy for Paid Media and Public Sites
Provide expertise on impactful audience opportunities, needed tech and data Marchitecture, and deliver audiences that drive measurable results
Support key Enterprise / Marketing Projects (ex: Analytical Environment Migration)
Keep on-top-of best practices, latest tools and data, from our Technology, Marketing Analytics, and Enterprise Data & Analytics partners
Ensure TD is well-positioned for third-party cookie deprecation through increased usage of TD\xe2\x80\x99s first-party data
Capabilities & Innovation (20%)
Manage the adoption and usage of key Digital Marketing Capabilities, such as persado to drive innovation among digital marketers and ensure usage leads to incremental business value. Management of this capability includes navigating vendor management and contract management processes, financial management, platform setup and administration, training, change management, etc.
Requirements
7+ years of experience running digital marketing, digital product, and/or analytics teams focused on onsite content, personalization, data and analytics, and optimization through A/B testing
Proven track record of leading teams in always-on environment and demonstrating exceptional and measurable performance results
Proven people management skills, with a strong ability to effectively lead diverse teams and build bench strength, through training, coaching and people development
Proven interpersonal and relationship management skills, with ability to obtain consensus among multiple stakeholders
Self-sufficient: ability to thrive in a constantly changing and ambiguous environment, requiring regular re-evaluation of priorities and strategies
Experience in utilization of data for digital media and on-site optimization, including techniques for measuring end-to-end effectiveness across digital marketing touchpoints
Experience utilizing Marketing Technologies to drive personalized and targeted experiences \xe2\x80\x93 at least one of the following:
Hands-on experience with the Adobe Experience Cloud, notably Adobe Target, Adobe Audience Manager, Adobe Analytics, Adobe Experience Manager
Hands-on experience with Google Marketing Platform, notably Google Analytics, Firebase, Google Ads, Google Cloud Platform / BigQuery, etc.
Hands-on experience with Optimizely, Salesforce Interaction Studio, Oracle Maxymiser, or similar
Experience with Analytical platforms: Data Management Platforms (DMPs), Web Analytics, CRM, or Enterprise Data Warehouses
Business acumen: strategic thinking, business process development, analytical and problem solving skills
Strong organizational and time management skills
Excellent communication skills: presentation, written, and oral
Strong understanding of web technologies (HTML, JavaScript, and CSS)
An undergraduate degree or diploma in a relevant field is required (Ex: Computer Science, Digital Marketing, Digital Product Management, Digital Analytics, etc.)
Nice to have
Understanding of financial institutions product offerings, and experience working in the Financial Services industry
Experience with Customer Data Platforms (CDPs)
Experience working in matrixed orgs
Graduate degree in a relevant field would be an asset
Experience in MarTech/AdTech
Experience with Analytics tools and languages like SQL, R, Python, SAS, or similar
Experience in BI tools like DOMO, Tableau, or similar
