The Team

The Global Payments Technology team is seeking a talented and motivated agile leader to deliver value on mission critical cash management systems. You will lead a team of technology professionals responsible for delivery and ensure deliverables are of the highest quality while adhering to defined release, change, and architectural standards and methodologies by leveraging an Agile scrum team (Product, Engineering, Agile, Design).

  • Lead and coach a team of technology professionals.
  • Build and maintain solid, professional, working relationships with peers within the portfolio and business lines.
  • Work closely with the business lines and product owners to set priority and deliver business value.
  • You will champion a high-performance Agile environment and implement a people strategy that attracts, retains, develops and motivates your team by fostering an inclusive work environment; informing vison, values, business strategy and managing succession and development planning for your team.
  • Identify and track performance, health, and success metrics for core solutions.
  • Collecting metrics and sharing progress towards release objectives.
  • Actively identify areas of continuous improvement and conceive methods on how to be more efficient.
  • Working with the Agile Coaches and Scrum Masters to improve processes and procedures.
  • Driving an Agile culture and mindset throughout the organization.
  • Ensuring cross-team coordination and sharing of lessons learned.
  • Coordinate compliance and readiness procedures (Ex. Operation Readiness) with associated teams (Ex. Release Engineering, Security, etc.)
  • Identify areas of technical debt and create strategies to prioritize and eliminate it.
  • Informing effectively across diverse audiences, departments and levels acting as an advocate of agile methodologies.
  • Identifying, capturing, and resolving impediments at the team level.
  • Understand how the Bank\'s risk appetite and risk culture should be considered in day-to-day activities and decisions.
  • Work on own initiative without direction for most consulting activities
  • Keep abreast of current and emerging best practices and technologies
  • Monitor budget forecasts, manage vendor contracts, and formalize invoices for vendors
Do you have the skills that will enable you to succeed in this role?
  • Experience delivering software using Agile methodologies
  • Experience building systems at scale
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Passion for driving teams towards high performance and a deep pride in quality craftsmanship that delights users
  • Strong influencing skills and experience working with senior leadership across business lines
  • 6+ years of experience in progressive roles within Technology, which includes at least 2 years leading a team
