Morningstar DBRS is seeking a Senior Manager, Data to join the Credit Data and Business Operations group, located in Toronto or Chicago.The Senior Manager will lead the team responsible for maintaining performance data in select Structured Finance sectors \xe2\x80\x93including Global CMBS, US ABS, and EU RMBS and Covered Bonds. Also the Senior Manager will lead the Tableau Center of Excellence team and contribute directly to best practices and building out of this new capability.The Senior Manager, Data role supports a range of data, analytical and research work that serve as inputs to our credit rating processes. This role would be responsible to identify and implement process improvements and has people management responsibilities.Prospective candidates will have an in-depth understanding of structured finance as well as a good understanding of capital markets.The ideal candidate for this role will possess strong organizational skills, demonstrate attention to detail as well as their ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.Being part of the Credit Operations organization provides opportunities to work cross functionally with technology, product, publishing, strategic programs and risk team members.This role will report directly to the Global Data Director, located in Metro New York.Job Responsibilities

• Hands-on data analysis will be an integral part of the responsibilities
• Developing insights on large scale data, performing ad-hoc data cleaning and statistical analysis as needed
• Communicating results to rating analysts, senior management and other key stakeholders
• Developing and automating reports for analytical team members
• Mentor and guide junior members of the team
• Support the Tableau Center of Excellence

Qualifications

• A minimum of 5 years\xe2\x80\x99 experience working as a senior data analyst using SQL, with a total experience of 8+ years
• Skilled in database management
• Skilled in Tableau or Power BI
• Possess a high degree of proficiency in Excel as well as the intellectual curiosity to develop new applications, reports or features
• Comfortable working in a fast paced environment with an analytical mind and an attention to detail
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• A bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree in engineering, finance, real estate or related field

Nice to have

• 3-5 Years experience in a structured finance related field
