Job Title Senior Manager - Atlassian Tools
WHAT IS THE OPPORTUNITY?
This position will function as the product owner for the Enterprise Agile Tools and will be responsible to develop, execute and maintain a comprehensive strategic roadmap of integrated Agile tooling ecosystem. You will partner with Application Delivery pillars and provide Agile tool-related thought leadership, best practices, guidelines and implement solutions.
WHAT WILL YOU DO?
Function as the product owner for Enterprise Agile Tools:
Define, advise and implement Agile tooling strategic direction in partnership with enterprise tools and methodology owners
Pilot and implement new Jira plug-ins that support Agile at scale
Define & implement Agile tooling usage standards (i.e. permissions, workflows, post-conditions, dashboards, screens, and fields) and best practices to increase higher productivity
Create a roadmap for implementation of tooling integration between Jira and other technical and Portfolio Management applications
Develop metrics, dashboards, and advanced filters in JIRA/Confluence to provide end-users and business leadership with meaningful operational/performance metrics and customized reports
Create and maintain prioritized backlogs of work required to fulfill strategic objectives
Communicate regularly with a range of enterprise stakeholders
As an Atlassian Consultant and Subject Matter Expert, you will:
Partner with Application Delivery pillars and provide Agile tool-related thought leadership, best practices, guidelines & recommendations
Coach executives, business and the delivery teams to enable productive tooling usage
Build and facilitate demos, "how-to" guides, and trainings of Jira & Confluence
Advise and train Jira administrators on how to configure, use, and maintain global and project-specific Jira configurations
Leverage communities to spread product knowledge
Solution Implementation and Delivery:
Custom Atlassian solution design and implementation e.g., workflow, plugins/scripts, configuration
Code & implement scripting solutions with languages like Groovy and Python
Web integration of Atlassian and other applications using Rest APIs
Create Jira project roles, issue types, components, workflows, release based configuration
Advise and assist Application Delivery teams in creating organizing and managing screen schemes, permission schemes and notification schemes
WHAT DO YOU NEED TO SUCCEED?
Candidates should have demonstrated experience and a documented track record of success in the following key areas:
Deep hands-on expertise with Atlassian products, specifically Jira Align, Jira and Confluence
Ability to gather requirements, propose potential solutions, analyze impact, communicate with stakeholders, and implement toolset solutions.
Installation, configuration, and system administration of Atlassian software, with particular emphasis on Data Center versions of Jira, Confluence, and Atlassian Marketplace Jira plug-ins
Demonstrated ability to develop & implement workflow, post functions, triggers, automated scripts, etc
Ability to write JQL (Jira Query Language) to construct custom dashboards, reports, filters etc.
Deep understanding and hands on experience with Atlassian rest APIs
Exceptional engagement, facilitation, and communication skills, with experience collaborating with stakeholders at every level; Ability to present complex topics to mixed audiences
Ability to problem-solve innovatively and creatively, work independently with minimal guidance in a rapidly changing environment
Ability to manage multiple clients and deliverables at any given time through effective time management and planning
Team player and strong collaboration and stakeholder management skills
Need to have:
BA/BS in Information Systems, Computer Science, or related experience
5+ years deep hands-on experience and expert knowledge of Atlassian JIRA and Confluence
3+ years in a consulting or client delivery role, and experience managing software tool implementations
2+ years with web integration using Rest APIs scripting with a language like Groovy or Python
Strong familiarity with the principles of Agile, DevOps and Agile at Scale methodologies (SAFe, Scrum @ Scale, LeSS etc.)
Nice-to-have:
2+ years business process improvements in multi-team Agile environment
One or more Atlassian Certifications, or path toward certification
Hands on knowledge on Marketplace "Agile at Scale" plug-ins
Understanding of non-functional requirements for application scalability, availability, and security
Experience within a fast-paced, fast-growth tech environment
