Your Role in Supporting Our Members:
As the Senior Manager, Application Technology - Core Banking Delivery, you will lead the end-to-end delivery of core banking initiatives across the organization. You'll oversee all technology workstreams related to the Temenos Core Banking platform, including products creation, enhancements and integrations enablement. You'll manage a team of core banking engineers and analysts to deliver quality solutions.
This role requires a hands-on technical leader with deep expertise in Temenos, the ability to guide cross-functional engineering teams, and the confidence to collaborate directly with business stakeholders, delivery pods, and external vendors to ensure successful outcomes. You'll play a pivotal role in ensuring our core banking platform continues to evolve as a stable, scalable, and innovative foundation that supports the credit union's transformation.
This is a Full-time, Permanent role based at Vancity head office and will report directly to the Director, Core Banking Delivery. Our head office is based in Vancouver, but we are open to candidates in BC and Ontario. While this position provides a hybrid work arrangement, you will be expected to be on-site for events and business demands when needed.
How You'll Make an Impact:

• Leading the end-to-end delivery of all core banking initiatives, ensuring alignment with enterprise priorities and delivery pod objectives
• Acting as the technical expert for Temenos, overseeing configurations, integrations, and product creation across multiple lines of business
• Partnering with business product owners, project managers, scrum masters and delivery pods to translate business requirements into actionable technical deliverables
• Partnering with Core application architects to define core banking solution design
• Managing a team of Core Banking Engineers responsible for development, deployment and support of the Temenos platform and its integrations
• Collaborating with the vendor (Temenos) and other technology partners to troubleshoot issues, push for timely delivery, and ensure platform integrity
• Maintaining and prioritizing the core banking backlog in Azure DevOps, ensuring transparency and focus on high-value deliverables
• Driving quarterly planning sessions to define upcoming work, dependencies, and capacity across teams
• Ensuring agile delivery practices are embedded across the team, with clear sprint goals, and continuous improvement
• Overseeing API and integration initiatives to enhance the ecosystem of services around the Temenos platform
• Providing guidance on technical design, performance optimization, and regression testing during major upgrades and releases
• Ensuring risk management, documentation, and governance processes are followed for all production changes
• Leading and mentoring a team of Core Banking Engineers to deliver high-quality solutions while fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement
• Building team capability through coaching and feedback, promoting innovation, and creating an empowered environment grounded in transparency and trust

What You'll Bring to the Team:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field
• 7+ years of progressive experience in core banking technology delivery, with at least 3+ years in a leadership or managerial capacity
• Hands-on experience with Temenos Core Banking (T24/Transact) - product creation, APIs & integrations, payments, card management
• Proven ability to manage end-to-end delivery of complex technology initiatives across multiple stakeholder groups
• Experience leading technical teams, managing vendor relationships, and driving outcomes in multi-party environments
• Strong knowledge of Agile methodology, Azure DevOps, and modern software delivery practices
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage confidently with executives, business leads, and technical staff alike
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making capabilities, with the ability to balance technical depth and business priorities

What You'll Earn:
This role offers a salary range of $102,200 to $153,200 per annum. The base pay offered may vary depending on factors such as relevant qualifications, skills, previous experience, and internal equity. As part of our total rewards package, employees may also be eligible for our annual incentive program, subject to program eligibility requirements.
