What you\'ll be doing

The Senior Manager, Analytics for Commercial Banking is responsible for end-to-end ownership and production of ongoing production data management, ETL and data set quality processes related to Commercial Banking financial and product performance analytics.

In addition, they are responsible for surfacing analytical and system performance insights from that work and communicating those insights effectively to internal analytics team partners responsible for business analytics and information delivery to CIBC internal business .

This is a highly technical role requiring where the primary function is developing, managing, running, automating and auditing / measuring data source integration process that aggregate and assemble data from more than 50 different systems across CIBC into a single hierarchical Netezza data warehouse.

How You\xe2\x80\x99ll Succeed

  • Client and Product Profile Development - Support the development and maintenance of client and product profiles that can be used to facilitate both ongoing reporting and ad hoc analyses.
  • Strategic Problem Solving \xe2\x80\x93 Help frame the problem to be addressed, identify and execute required analysis, and synthesize key findings to help the teams reach decisions
  • Ad Hoc Analyses \xe2\x80\x93 Develop ad hoc analyses to address key business issues as they arise. Complete complex client and product analyses utilizing a variety of structured and unstructured data sources. Develop and share insights with a wide variety of audiences.
  • Business Case Development \xe2\x80\x93 Support development of business cases through the development of financial models to evaluate various options and make go/no-go decisions
  • Project Support - Work with business partners to support key projects
  • Thought Leadership - Provide value add ideas with respect to how the team works with data and key partners
  • Reporting \xe2\x80\x93 Develop and maintain ongoing reporting related to key client, product and channel trends
Who You Are
  • You can demonstrate data modeling skills in working with large datasets including both structured and unstructured data and related tools.
  • Strong SAS Skills in ETL programming, automation and scheduling on multiple platforms ( Netezza, Oracle, Hive among others )
  • Strong SQL and data management technical skills including: data modeling, design and processing skills (SQL DDL, DML, functions, procedures, scheduling, ETL design and implementation )
  • Knowledge of tools used for working with / managing large structured & unstructured datasets (hundreds of millions of rows - Hive, Alteryx, SQL, Tableau, Excel, SAS, Hadoop, Python etc.)
