About the role:

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Manager, Accounting to lead and oversee our accounting operations. This role is responsible for managing the monthly close process, compliance, and internal controls, while mentoring a team of accountants. The ideal candidate has a strong background in GAAP, excellent leadership skills, and thrives in a fast-paced environment.

What you'll do:

Oversee month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of financial reporting. Prepare and review financial statements in compliance with US GAAP (or IFRS, as applicable). Lead internal and external audits, ensuring all audit requirements and deadlines are met. Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local financial regulations. Design, implement, and monitor internal controls and accounting policies. Collaborate with FP&A on budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis. Lead, mentor, and develop a team of accounting professionals. Partner with cross-functional teams to support strategic initiatives and improve financial processes. Identify and implement process improvements and automation opportunities. Ad-hoc duties as required.

What you'll bring:

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. Minimum 7-10 years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 3 years in a supervisory or management role. Strong knowledge of US GAAP and financial reporting requirements. Experience with ERP systems (e.g., NetSuite) and advanced Excel skills. Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to lead and collaborate effectively across departments.

Preferred Skills:

Experience in taxes (both income/franchise and those resulting from sales). Familiarity with international compliance and regulatory frameworks - UK, Ireland, Australia, Canada, US, Poland, China a plus. Audit experience at a public accounting firm.
