Senior Maintenance Supervisor

Job Description

We are looking for an experienced and motivated Maintenance Supervisor to lead our maintenance team in a union manufacturing environment. You will have a certified trade (preferably Millwright or Electrician), strong leadership capabilities, and a track record in process improvement, 5S implementation, and promoting a growth mindset culture. You will report to the Maintenance Manager at our Cambridge Plant.

Key Responsibilities



Manage daily activities of maintenance personnel in a unionized environment. Ensure compliance with safety regulations, company policies, and collective bargaining agreements. Support continuous improvement projects including 5S, TPM, and leanmanufacturing practices. Troubleshoot and maintain equipment including mechanical, electrical, and PLC systems. Schedule and oversee preventative maintenance programs to minimize downtime. Collaborate with production and engineering teams to optimize equipment performance. Mentor maintenance staff, promoting a culture of learning and growth. Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, work orders, and inventory Support capital projects and equipment installations.

Qualifications



Certified Trade: Millwright or Electrician (Red Seal preferred). Minimum 5 years in industrial maintenance, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role. Experience with unionised work environments and labour relations. Proficient in PLC troubleshooting and programming (Allen-Bradley preferred). Experience in implementing 5S, lean, or other continuous improvement methodologies. Fluent in English with excellent verbal and written communication skills. A growth-oriented approach to team development and problem-solving. Experience in a manufacturing or industrial plant setting.Familiarity with CMMS systems (e.g., SAP, Maximo).
