What will you do:
As an essential member of the Electrical Maintenance team, you will perform journey-level electrical work to support the installation, repair, and maintenance of a variety of electrical equipment in substations and generating units, including hydro, diesel, and Liquid Natural Gas (LNG) facilities, along with their auxiliary systems. Key responsibilities include:
Hands-On Electrical Maintenance
: Execute high-level electrical work within substations and various generating units to ensure equipment operates safely, reliably, and efficiently across hydro, diesel, and LNG systems.
Supervisor Support
: Provide coverage for the Supervisor of Electrical Maintenance as needed, contributing leadership and continuity within the team.
Detailed Documentation and Compliance
: Complete all work and documentation in strict accordance with Yukon Energy's policies, guidelines, and procedures, upholding the highest standards of safety and reliability
What you need to succeed:
Red Seal Electrical journeyperson certification, Power System Electrician Certification, or Electrical Technologist designation with extensive experience in power generation and plant operations.
Customer centric with effective team building, coaching and leadership skills with the ability to implement goals.
Well-developed oral, interpersonal and communications skills.
Experience with EAM/CMMS is required.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
Capability to role model, coach and reinforce operational expectations.
Strong negotiation, analytical, problem solving, planning and organizational skills with a clearly defined sense of urgency.
Demonstrated commitment to preventive/predictive maintenance programs.
Several years' experience leading a team.
Certification in WHIMS, TDG and rigging and hoisting.
A valid class 5 driver's license and clean Drivers Abstract.
A valid First Aid certificate.
Compensation
: Level 9: $51.44/hr-$61.44/hr PLUS Northern Allowance.
