Job Description

We are currently looking for a Financial Analyst to complete our mergers & acquisitions and financial analysis team. As such, you will have to contribute to the success of UAP's business opportunities by producing financial analysis based on the economic viability of business plans for corporate and associate stores as well as business acquisitions. Are you recognized for the quality and accuracy of your analysis, your ability to summarize and good priority management? In addition, do you have strong communication skills in French and English? You will have to:

• Participate on the complete M&A process

• Proceed with the valuation of a target company
• Obtain all necessary documentation to proceed with a transaction, ensure quality and follow up
• Perform financial forecasts, analysis and review of documentation, business plans
• Validate with internal and external clients the working assumptions
• Negotiate transaction parameters
• Build and present business case approval documentation
• Participate in the due diligence process
• Participate in the legal documentation production
• Manage fund transfer logistics
• Ensure post-acquisition performance and follow up
• Ensure the assembly structure of the files and adapt the content;
• Maintain analysis tools and improve modeling on Excel as well as integration with other platforms;
• Validate the choice of financing for the transactions of the associate stores and ensure the financial viability of the project;
• Calculate, determine, and analyze the financial and operational parameters to judge the profitability of various corporate projects;
• Present and align projects with the accounting department and ensure their support.

Requirements

To join our team, you need:

• Bachelor's degree in business administration;
• Recognized accounting designation;
• 5 years of relevant experience;
• Knowledge of MS Office (thorough knowledge of Excel);
• Good knowledge of the following financial concepts: profitability, financing, net present value, DCF;
• Knowledge of the distribution environment (asset);
• Bilingual in French and English (oral and written).
