Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Senior Line Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in the restaurant and food industry, with a passion for meal preparation and food service. As a Senior Line Cook, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and presentation of dishes while maintaining high standards of food safety and hygiene.

Duties

Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards. Oversee the daily operations of the kitchen, ensuring that all food is prepared efficiently and to the highest quality. Assist in training and mentoring junior kitchen staff, providing guidance on cooking techniques and food handling practices. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, including proper storage of ingredients and equipment. Monitor inventory levels and assist with ordering supplies as needed to ensure smooth kitchen operations. Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely service during peak hours. Adhere to all food safety regulations and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.

Requirements

At least 1 year proven experience as a cook in a restaurant or food service environment, with a strong understanding of meal preparation techniques. Knowledge of food handling, preparation, and safety standards is essential. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen setting while maintaining attention to detail. Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team. Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends as needed. Relevant certification is preferred but not mandatory.

Pay: $20.00-$23.00 per hour
