JLL is seeking an organized and efficient individual to assist the Ontario Leasing team with leasing support, related activities and other projects on an as needed basis.

Responsibilities

\xc2\xb7 Responsible for leasing support for all Ontario Shopping Centres

\xc2\xb7 Input deals in Deal Tracking System for Leasing Manager, Directors, VPs;

\xc2\xb7 Submit deals to client\xe2\x80\x99s weekly Leasing Committee for approval, support organization of committee structure, take notes during weekly meeting.

\xc2\xb7 Calculate negotiator commissions, input fees into Dealio System

\xc2\xb7 Assist Leasing Directors and Managers with deal financials, analyze proposed deals against budget, calculate NERs and Gross Rent structures

\xc2\xb7 Provide and compile essential research data to Leasing Representatives on Tenant Sales Analysis, Category Sales Analysis, for individual properties in an effort to maximize property performance;

\xc2\xb7 Maintain leasing status reports, and keep accurate records with respect to potential tenants for new and existing properties;

\xc2\xb7 Update and maintain leasing activity plans for shopping centres

\xc2\xb7 Provide assistance and communication with Shopping Centre Managers in the region; including tracking all opening and closing notices for tenants

\xc2\xb7 Stay current of the latest market and industry trends by conducting the appropriate research on the newest retailers so that leasing representatives can make informed decisions on new prospects for their centres;

\xc2\xb7 Provide essential backup information during budget season on existing tenants to the Leasing Representatives (i.e. renewal options, first rights of refusal on adjacent spaces, option to terminate, double check Lease expiry dates and GROC analysis);

\xc2\xb7 Assist in budget review with report preparation and report analysis;

\xc2\xb7 Initiate follow-up calls with retailers on status of proposal letters, TPF\xe2\x80\x99s, and legal documents (leases, lease amending agreements);

\xc2\xb7 Assemble property packages (property sales report, occupancy, traffic reports, etc) for internal distribution;

\xc2\xb7 Participate in meetings with retailers, track opportunities within the portfolio;

\xc2\xb7 Provide backup and coordinate onsite tours for incoming retailers visiting properties;

\xc2\xb7 Meeting preparation including but not limited to ICSC conferences, conference calls, or group meetings/events, preparation and distribution of documents for meetings, assistance with selection and distribution of materials as required;

\xc2\xb7 Provide administrative support to leasing team and VP, Asset Management as needed, including, but not limited to; expense reports, travel coordination, schedule coordination

Key requirements

\xc2\xb7 University degree in business administration or equivalent;

\xc2\xb7 Minimum 2 years of work experience in corporate setting;

\xc2\xb7 Experience within real estate industry preferred;

\xc2\xb7 Familiarity with retail leasing, NER Calculation, Gross Rent Calculation, and reading leases;

\xc2\xb7 The position is ideally suited for a self-directed, self-confident individual who is approachable, cheerful and achievement ordinated;

\xc2\xb7 Must possess excellent communication, mathematical and organizational skills;

\xc2\xb7 Ability to connect quickly with people in a poised, convincing and enthusiastic way; Understanding people well and using that understanding effectively in motivating/persuading others to act, will be an important aspect of the job;

\xc2\xb7 Ability to work at a fast pace and cooperatively with people; Team work and collaboration and flexibility within the company is essential;

\xc2\xb7 Operate with a strong sense of urgency and initiative;

\xc2\xb7 It is important in this job that goals are achieved;

\xc2\xb7 Ability to make decisions under pressure, generally calling on other people\xe2\x80\x99s ideas and advice;

\xc2\xb7 Creative problem-solving skills;

\xc2\xb7 Proficient in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Yardi;

\xc2\xb7 Knowledge of Adobe Illustrator an asset;

\xc2\xb7 Ability to travel
