The Opportunity

As a Senior Learning Specialist and qualified CPA (internal rank of Supervising Associate) you will oversee and manage the deployment, planning, delivery and compliance of service line and sub-service line curriculum. You are expected to be involved with cross service line learning and other key learning initiatives as they arise. This role promotes overall synergies with the firm\xe2\x80\x99s learning strategies. They also manage a range of learning operations functions including learning administration, budgeting and client experience management. This role needs to effectively balance working very independently while applying a consultative approach to address business needs with the right team members on a regular basis.
This role works with and reports to the Assurance Learning Deployment Leader (LDL) to create deployment plans that forecast the number and location of classes/webcasts/eLearnings, identify target learners, outline communication needs, and prepare and assign instructors. The role has oversight of a group of 3-4 Learning Coordinators (LCs) on the logistical planning of training events, participant roster management, optimal use of the learning management system and in person training travel logistics as applicable.
A focus on adhering to controls, learning compliance monitoring and reporting is the foundation of this role.
Your Key Responsibilities

Deployment support

  • Work with the LDL and Assurance Learning Quality Manager (ALQ) to determine the learning calendar including course offerings, modality, number of offerings, location/time zone, and dates. Support in the process in getting these approved by stakeholders
  • Manages calendaring and communication of learning events
  • Manages webcast schedule and recording of live sessions where applicable.
  • Works with the LDL and ALQ to produce course materials including translation, facilitator guides and SharePoint sites.
  • Collaborates with the LCs to establish learning requirements by level, monitor consumption and initiate follow up in the Learning Management System (LMS)
  • Summarize and review consumption reports managed by LC for regulatory reporting
  • Leads virtual production preparation for regional learning sessions (e.g., MS Teams and Zoom)
  • Possesses strong people management skills.
  • Liaison with the stakeholders of the sub-service lines to coordinate deployment of global curriculums

Facilitator Management
  • Maintain the facilitator management tool for tracking facilitator availability and scheduling, accreditation, and recognition
  • Available and accessible to facilitators for troubleshooting and support prior to, during and after session
  • Management of the creation of facilitator SharePoint sites
  • Participates in Train the Trainer and Facilitator Preparation meetings as required
  • Organize and participate in debriefs with facilitators (and other stakeholders) with focus on continuous improvement.

Teaming and Supervision
  • Supervise the LCs on the logistical planning and delivery of sessions, including monitoring workflows for timely completion and immediately addressing deviations.
  • Collaborate with LMS Support Team, Experience Management, Talent Team and CPA Team nationally on a routine basis
  • Work collaboratively with the Talent Development & Learning team to share best practices and achieve consistency in application of learning policies.
  • Assist with other Service Line or Talent Development projects as they arise.
  • Facilitate courses where skills are aligned.

Reporting and Compliance
  • Manage level-based learning compliance database, deadlines, and non-compliance communications, including year-end non-compliance performance reviews
  • Manage adherence of the Assurance practice with Globally required learning minimums
  • Ensure adherence to established quality controls and documentation standards, completeness, and accuracy of reporting.
  • Compile and summarize learning statistics for Assurance Quality Scorecard, level-based learning compliance, and CPAB/PCAOB regulatory reporting

Budget Management
  • Monitor program budgets on an ongoing basis
  • Work with LCs on monthly GL review, accruals and invoice payment and coding

To qualify for the role you must have:
  • 4+ years of experience in an assurance role
  • CPA designation
  • Experience creating and managing budgets
  • Experience providing coaching and mentorship to employees
  • Proficiency in advanced capabilities of excel (filters, pivot tables, vlookups required). Power BI an asset
  • Proficient in Zoom, MS Teams, Office 360 and SharePoint
